  1. Work has been pretty normal for me all through this, and I've been practising social distancing for years so no change there lol just haven't been able to ride the bike ? seriously thinking of leaving the van home one day this week and taking the bike in just to see how it goes after all the work I've done on it.

My memorable motorcycling moment came in April 2002.  On that day I rode a trail bike again , minus half of my left leg.  I had no idea when I set off that morning wether I'd still be able to ride on rough surfaces, wether I'd be able to balance, change gear and lots of other things that were going through my head.

When I got back from that ride you couldn't wipe the grin from my face for days ?

The thought of that moment for you has me welling up a bit here Bob for some reason, it must have been a great feeling, i will say you ride a lot better on the trails then most of my two legged friends it certainly doesn't hold you back ?

Dumbasses. They'll just tax fuel more anyway and still lump you with vehicle tax now in the form of green tax. Its a win win.

Your only saying that because your tub uses a 1000L of diesel an hour before you open the taps :classic_biggrin: what i'm saying is they should get rid of the tax on road going vehicles and put it on fuel so everyone contributes but as Alan said that's too simple to work

Just put the tax on fuel and be done with it. The more miles you do, the more you pay. Maybe that's too easy.

Yes and all the tax dodgers will be paying as well

  5. Too much that's how much. I recon tax should be transferable from vehicle to vehicle i have to tax 5 and do a few thousand miles a year yet you can have something that's almost tax exempt that can do 50000 mile a year don't make sense Its about time it went on fuel so you can pay as you drive

  6. I flushed the cooling system on my old Africa Twin this week, when i drained the expansion tank it stayed blue up to the high level line so wouldn't have known if it was low just by looking at it. I started thinking of ways i could clean it, went through the wife's cleaning cupboard and after trying a few different detergents unsuccessfully i found this stuff

Its quite a coarse power so got an idea of how it might work, poured some into the expansion tank added some hot water and spent the next few minutes shaking it vigorously and to my surprise the stain started to disappear flushed it out with hot water and repeated the process. I think i got a good result with it, i just wish i had a before photo to show how bad it was.

That 701 looks like a proper quality bike in person.

Yes I've bounced up and down on one in the showroom and it has road bike service intervals 6000 mile intervals plus when it was first introduced it was just under £7000 which was good considering the husky 501 enduro was a £1000 more than it.

This is just the internet and we're friends so don't share my opinion, but design doesn't matter for shit if quality control and metal quality doesn't back it up.

I agree but from what i remember the old Husky engines were shit as well so the Chinese cant make it any worse ?
@XTreme Its Shineray a much better quality shit than what Zongshen produces :littleguy: That's why i said i'll read the reviews in a couple of years :classic_biggrin:

The AJP, It’s portuguese designed and assembled.

Their swingarms look great, but I looked at one side by side with an Husqvarna on a dealership, and it broke my heart.

    Isn’t the engine italian?

Its Husqvarna's old TE630 engine it might be revamped by the chinks but it wasn't designed by them

  13. I was working in Essex in 2011ish and got woken by the hotel fire alarm in the early hours. Got out of bed still pissed to see what was going on and found myself in the corridor outside my room with a locked door and bollock naked while the hotel was being evacuated the drunken twat i shared a room with didn't wake up for the fire alarm or my frantic shouting and banging on the door for what seamed like forever.

A couple of weeks later same room on my own this time got up for a piss  in the early hours and again found myself in the corridor outside my room with a locked door and bollock naked again. this time i had to take the lift to the reception to get another key i'd like to think the girl at reception was laughing at my predicament not my winky ?
