As i waited at the traffic lights to cross the border into England this morning on my way to work i noticed it was -3.5°c outside but didn't feel that cold when i got out to do a bit. Tomorrow i think i will be out on the 650 with a group going up to mid wales and back on and off the tarmac.

I cant say i noticed any restrictions my life is that sad

For me riding a bike is to get away from it all i like the fact there's no distractions although i do find the maps essential for my type of riding. I'm all for technological advances when it comes to the bike itself things like fuel injection but ABS and traction control on a bike with less than 100 horses i could do without. I've stopped going on the CRF1000 Facebook page because since they brought out the 1100 all i see is how do i connect my phone to my bike questions and apparently i don't know just ride the fucking thing isn't the correct answer

That's why a bought a new Beta everyone was asking a few hundred quid less than new for the second hand ones the saving wasn't worth the risk

My XR400 has doubled in price since i bought it even though its 13 years older

Yes it has fuel injection other than that i think its the same

Its the same engine as my 650 2000 mile service on that but its just under 2L of oil and takes minutes to do so no big deal valves only need adjusting when they run out of oil

That's why i rebuilt the 650 instead of getting rid of it there's just nothing new i can see out there to replace it other than the Mash 650
