I've had three DRZ's .  There is a trail model 'S' and an enduro model 'E'  .  The E has the livelier engine and the S has more road niceties. They are great bikes apart from the lack of a 6th gear but the newest one would be over 15 years old now.

Having said that if you buy a good one it won't lose value but there are some proper dogs out there which could be a money pit.

This one is decent as it's almost standard so you know it hasn't been mucked about .........

Supermoto version out there too. A mate got one last year and blew the engine apart in the first week. He's rebuilt it now and all's well.
Another mate has had one from 6 months old and it's still going strong.

    You had one ?

Yes for a couple of years. Found it tall but fine while riding. I was more used to a Xl250 and 500r. DRZs lots faster and lighter, but tall. Very capable and reliable if you can find a good one.
When I talk about falling off that's something I'm good at, never real hurt other than pride.

I keep trying to stop my new wiper blades juddering,  bent the arms a bit at a time until finally......silence!.....then go out a hour later, flick the switch and the juddering is back, even tried another new blade, wonder if there is play (worn) in the spindle......fooking things. 😡

Try cleaning the screen with a wet cloth with a squirt of fairy liquid. If it doesn't work burn the car.

  6. I've been spending my spare hours trying to sort a Zafira b failing the MOT with rich running.
After a lot of pissing around with exhaust sensors as I didn't believe the readings I checked the valve timing and found the exhaust cam a tooth out.
Have I mentioned I hate cars.

True, I passed my bike test in 1984 but didn't sit my car test until 1986.  It was easy I passed 1st time after 8 x1 hour lessons because I had plenty of road and riding experience.   It wouldn't don't any harm for most people to do a CBT as part of their driving licence for both bike and car, for the reasons you say.  Confidence and familiarity with controlling a motor vehicle has got to cross over and being on 2 wheels will make you all to aware of your vulnerabilities.

I did it the other way round. We always rode and drove before we passed any tests back then. Driving instructor told me I will need plenty of lessons to get me out of bad habits.:classic_laugh:
