Just been out for a couple of hours with the youngest for a bimble around. She wanted to go out on the bike and I’m knackered from a week in the garden so I was easily persuaded. I asked her what she fancied doing and she said ‘sausage sandwich’ so we headed up to Liskeard as she hasn’t been to Checkered Flag before. Tis only 20 miles with some nice twisties on the way which was a bit of a bust in the end due to traffic but we were out all the same. Opened the bike out a bit on Liskeard bypass, the Hornet seems to be getting quicker, whether it is my confidence the 99 Ron fuel or just the placebo effect but it seems to be flying. Luckily I backed right off after a couple of miles just as I passed a copper in a layby waiting for fuck wits. Chloe fed and had her orange hot chocolate, she did say that it was good but Damerells was better. We then went out to see what they had for sale. Possibly the roughest AT I have ever seen in the flesh. Really tidy little Honda CL but 38k on the clock. Some more old stuff Couple of 125s. One was a Derby, chinky? An Aprilla and weird looking Suzuki, I have no idea never seen one before Really most of what they had there was a load of old tat, doesn’t inspire confidence in the place. Oh and as aside I picked up a free bikers bible, as I thought it was a local guide to dealers and that sort of info. Took it out my pocket when I got home and to my surprise it was a real bible. Didn’t expect that.

It's only one and not that difficult to fit on a CB500F/X. Even Pete with his noodle arms should be able to do that

It wil mate, just the beginning of the season. I have left it for a couple of years, post heart attack, so I have quite a bit of catching up to do. At least I am in the right head space to do it now.

To keep up the tediousity, if that is even a word, I have been tarting up my 45 year old picknick bench. I should have binned it years ago but my Dad made it so I keep repairing it because it reminds me of him. Bit like Triggers broom it will last forever. Oh and painted the gate as well, much to the youngest disgust, who demanded to know why I painted it orange then stormed off before I could answer. Fucking psycho.

I'm sure it is a great machine but the whole thing just leaves me feeling Meh, who needs it. Mind you I maybe a bit biased after Triumph of Plymouth treated me like a cunt I have sort of gone off the whole brand, not logical I know but still feel that way.

Christ she gave up Karate because, sparing was for pussys, and nobody would spar with her because she wouldn't lighten up. Also to be considered is how much trouble can she get in on a CB125. Hopefully by the time she gets her Mod2 she will have learn't a lot, including riding to the conditions. Already be down once and landed on her face.
