Exactly the same for us mate the day after the roofers started the ceiling came down in our office and two terminals (pc’s) were ruined. Luckily it was a day I wasn’t working.

Chilli ride home from work this morning, just above zero when I left but I had the right gear so warm enough. Stunning ride across the moor this morning. Light traffic and I passed all there was. I’m getting very attached to this CBF especially now I have the bigger touring screen with its protection. Just a good bike, not the best at anything. Handles well, is fast enough and frugal enough. Good lights, doesn’t look too knackered and easy to fix. It’s not worth much so I happy putting the miles on it, definitely hits a sweet spot in my troubled mind. . Also got to add the Oxford heated grips are the dogs Bollix . They work really well and are much better than the ones on my Hornet. I am normally always looking for the next bike but I think the CBF is going to break me of that habit. Bloody hospital is in uproar as we have the roofers in.

Question I have is how the hell to you eat something like that after beer without wearing it? I bet you had beard debris this morning.

Mate between a drag queen and two Hondas it's always going to be the Scoot

We did something very similar with one of our past Jack Russells, we swore never to do it again. Problem is letting go is hard and when there is hope it's very difficult. As has been said Pedro I so hope you get the most time possible with Costa.

Here’s some van action, my older daughter and I snow foamed and cleaned up the van she is learning to drive in. We had to as my Mrs had a sense of humour failure over Kady splattering cow shit up both sides of the van. The vans is an old clunker but it will be a great first vehicle for my Eldest She already told my Mrs it’s going to be called the Shaggin Wagon, which didn’t go down well either

Just been out for a bimble as it is lovely and dry here. Went up to Trago Mills Liskeard to look for some winter gloves, only discover it was pensioner discount day . What a pit of misery that place is. Plus they only had small and medium bike gloves so the whole thing was a bust. Ended up riding up through the Glynn Valley then blasted back down the A30 to St Aweful and across country back to Fowey through Trethurgy and St Blazey. Nice 60 mile trip that and blew the cobwebs away. I gotta say that for everyday bimbling about the CBF600 is a very competent and fuss free machine. I really enjoy it.

If it's anything like the Stan Stevens stage 3 tune I had on my RD400 it will have a powerband as wide as a nats cock and a dramatic thirst. It was fast but close to unrideable on the road. The folly of youth and the perceived importance of bragging rights lead me to ruin a perfectly good bike. Oh well learning is always expensive.

You been on the Fiery Elf juice the last couple of days?

Laughed putting out the bins this morning. Shadow moved the boys ped when she got home last night as her bike always has to be parked next to mine.

Nice Stealth Camper. Several of the paramedics at work have them. I like the size as can you can use it like you would a car as well as go camping.

I was training a new chap Friday night and he told me about his favourite Cafe in Plymouth. So this morning I decided to take a Bimble up there. Got the Hornet out of the shed of shame, yes I know I am going to clean it. I stopped at Carkeel services and treated the Hornet to a tank of 97 E5 juice. Worked out at roughly £3 more for a tank full so not too much. Can’t say I noticed much difference but I suppose I will notice the mpg go up maybe. Anyway didn’t want to venture into Devon with no fuel, they may not have such a thing up there across the river. Also I set google maps going to take me to Hideaway Cafe, Faraday Mill. All good till I get there but the road was closed, I tried to find another way in but Google kept trying to take me back to the closed road. Turned Google off and proceeded to get lost in the back streets of Plymouth. I gave up on the Hideaway as I decided I just didn’t care enough to carry on looking for a way in. So once I got to Charles Cross roundabout I got my bearings again, as I spent 3 years at Uni around there, and headed back to Cornwall. Stopped at the Tamar for a pee Then went for plan B and traveled up to Kitt Hill for some breakfast. A few bikes up there. Nobody I knew, so headed up to Launceston then back down the A30 across the moor to Bodmin and home. Did just shy of a 100 miles on the Hornet, bloody good bike, so much quicker than my CBF but quite a bit colder as well with no fairing. I am enjoying a few solo rides now that Shadow has her freedom and my aged riding mates seem to have gone into hibernation. Change is as good as a rest

I suppose because they obviously both spent hundreds of hours doing that, while it is impressive I wonder if the ends justify the means. Must be the journey for them rather than the result. As I said very clever, not sure that is how I would spend that amount of time.

I have been following these guys and Project Binky for years, and they are finally back after a long break. But this latest dash project has me questioning their sanity. Very very clever blokes but I'm struggling to understand why. Tis entertaining to geeks nonetheless.

Glad you will be alright Fred. Silly old fuckers like us don't bounce well.

I watched that, bit grim. I remember watching it back in the 1980's when it first came out and it frightened the shit out of a teenage me.

	Have you been hacked Pedro?
 -
Well what ya doing ? Me not so much, working tonight and Sunday night, weather looks to be cooperative so at least I will be biking. I plan on watching a lot of rugby but not much else. Oh and an aside it is NHS payday woohoo! well for a couple of days until it all disappears.

I dare say but I suppose it's the contrast for me, I am usually here and there like shit in a field most of the time.

Sitting here thinking I have had a very surreal day by my standards. I haven't had to go anywhere or do anything I didn't want to. Bloody luxury. Shadow doesn't need me to take her to and from college, older daughter hasn't needed to go to the stables (no horse) and the boy takes himself to work. Apart from doing some stuff around the house and playing bike I have been a freeman for the first time in years probably. Could this be the future, probably not as big daughter still needs transport and driving lessons. But nice to dream.

Couldn’t help myself had to do it. For any potential snow foamers out there my pump up one shat the bed so I got this one off Amazon for £18, works well but for how long will be the factor. Battery powered.

When I was out yesterday my front brakes started honking a bit, so stripped and cleaned them up this morning. It was the right hand calliper sliders that were gummed up so I know I have fixed it. Did both sides of course. Also cleaned up the pistons and pads and rubber greased the seals. Good 4mm left on the pads so will keep them for the time being. Looks like the last time they were off some cack handed fuck wit had been at them. Both callipers scratched up on the faces where they had been clamped with no protection. Also they are the wrong colour so have either been rebuilt or replaced at some point. No big deal as they are fine but so tempted to refurbish them and paint them the right colour. I got to keep telling myself this bike is a winter hack and not get too obsessive. All cleaned greased and back together. Shame the rest of the bike is so shit high . May not be able to resist cleaning it this afternoon

No and I was around the areas where they are supposed to be. Mind you seems daft in the daylight but the moor is a different place in the dark. I spend a lot of my working hours at night on the moor. Unusual place.
