  1. It’ll be all over as soon as Wilder lands a right hand. Sad really, don’t want to see that happen to Joshua. He needs to stop.
  2. Yeah that cam chains and transfer cases. I liked the XS1-B. 1973 I think. But if I was going to buy something from that era probably be a big 2 stroke. Maybe a T500 or the like. All dream land I have no intention of going down that black hole.
  3. Yes it is. We are going to Bude bike night tomorrow and he is actually going to ride his Indian Scout. I have never seen the thing move and I have known him years.
  4. I went with my mate today as he is after another bike. Specifically a Yamaha XS 650 US Custom. First one we looked at was dog rough and pissing oil, for £2.5k. Not the right one. The second one was a much better prospect only 16,000 miles really tidy original Damerells bike owned by a retired Damerells mechanic. That was spot on but £4k. If it was my money that would have been the one but my mate was undecided. The same chap also had a XS1100 with 300 miles on it. An XS750, an XS1-B and a 1981 DT175. All immaculate and for sale from his own collection. Wish I could have got some photos to show but the chap wasn’t keen to have them shared around so I respected his wishes. Anyway after that we headed to Damerells for a cuppa and sandwich. I got chatting to a chap who has just ordered a new Yellow Hornet today for August delivery. Anyway Damerells was low on stock but it is silly season. The line of sold bikes was long. Saw a nice Harris Yamaha outside Damerells, believe it had a R1 motor but not entirely sure. I have also come to the conclusion that Damerells is a sort of day care centre for silly old fuckers with too much time on their hands And before anyone says I do resemble that remark and my mate is 8 years my senior
  5. I know it's real but nobody cares though, apart from royalists who can swear if they want. Certainly not headline material to my mind, just the gutter press sewing division between those that will and the those that "Hate Britain" and won't as always. I think they are evil and manipulative in the games they play. Rant over
  6. Yeah but you don't want to be believing in that rag. They were trying to peddle the idea that Russia was planning to invade Britain last week.
  7. My Honda is not a bummer
  8. Yep and battery out the smoke alarm
  9. Happy Birthday Pete. 69 I do hope I live that long
  10. Worky worky this weekend. Got Monday off Actually sitting outside a house in Bude as I write this. GP is in doing her magic.
  11. I no medic I just work with them, but my understanding is that we do have a level of protection from the vaccines and having had Covid in the past. Really you need Slowleys expertise for a proper answer. I wouldn’t worry to much just carry on being careful, as we have been over the last 3 years.
  12. Weren’t they such naughty boys. Prolly all dead now I would guess. Not many brain cells between them.
  13. It’s been around for a few weeks. This sort of thing is part of life now, shit but every day shit.
  14. I like them. New to me but I know what I will be Spotifying at work tonight.
  15. Just browsing through Indeed for a job and was looking at a company rating and found this review. I so hope it is real as it made me laugh quite alot.
  16. That's a great photo mate. I don't know where Paolo's musical tastes lie but a great bass in hiding, almost, is John Bromley who is a folk singer with Kimbers Men. Hellofva Bass though and must have been classically trained. He is the only Bass of any fame that I have met. Mind you Basses are common down here, think of Welsh Tenors, the same is true of Basses in Cornwall. Especially if you listen to older recordings from choirs down here. Here's John,
  17. More C90/C50 love
  18. Yeah I love Bryn Terfel. His version of Sea Fever is very personalised which is fine but not as writ. Great to listen to not brilliant to learn from. Singing solos comes with experience and the confidence that brings and if you actually want to do it. I am a noisy Bugger and have to let it out . Tell your boy if he fancies it to go for it, I am sure there will be support for soloists in his choir or chorus if he shows the inclination.
  19. I think that is spot on. I love the looks and sound of the BSA and would love one if I could have it as a garage queen to come out on sunny days. But for every day transport you could get a new Hornet for £200 more which is a whole different kettle of fish as everyday transport. Pay your money and make you choice. I would take pointy practical plastic but it doesn't stop me liking the classic looking retro.
  20. Bass mate, This is what I am shooting for, suitable type of thing for the posh music festival we are part of. Only been in the choir 13 years and they still spell my name wrong.
  21. Working tonight but the weather is clement so will take the bike, so looking forward to a good ride. My new Helmet is coming today so a great chance to try that out. Tomorrow I have a day off because I have a concert with my Choir at St Mawes Music festival. Bit squeaky bum time as I have two solos to sing. Old Man river from Showboat and the song of the Ireland poem Sea Fever. That’s the harder one as it is pretty technical to sing Sunday working again.
  22. I know they were the two bikes of the night for me. Also that red XS1100 only had 1500 miles on it.
  23. I went to Dameralls bike night last night as I finally got my mate who never rides on his CB to come out. Dry and warm so lured him out. Anyway over the course of 2 hours I guess that there were around 200 bikes that came and went. Some beautiful stuff but also loads of L plate specials with fart cans. I only took a few photos of what interested me but an enjoyable evening all the same. Also hooked up with some mates who I hadn’t seen for years which was good. Strangely enough a guy turned up in the cleanest Lotus Sunbeam I have ever seen.
