  1. Just seen a very tidy one for sale locally with 53,000klms on the clock……..€2,800 which is much more like it.
  2. Viewed a couple just outside Oria, one shit hole, one with access issues and the other quite nice but more than we wanted to go to. Second viewing next week followed by some hard bargaining if we decide to go for it.
  3. Could be worse, could’ve been an eBike
  4. In that case I confess I’ve got a mountain bike ………no fucking Lycra though
  5. “I’m playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order” ERIC MORECOMBE
  6. Yep, that’s the look on my face when it eventually started but didn’t explode.
  7. Makes of what?………..cnut . It’s like I’ve got my own carer

  9. I’ve had so many I need a calculator to add them up. I’m serious.
  10. Royal Enfield Himalayan, it’s the only classy option available
  11. I’m surprised you bother with a pellet burner, as a Taffy I thought you’d be more likely to go down the local pit and dig out some coal.
  12. Seeing as I ride a Royal Enfield Himalayan and a 1998 carb’d CBR600F3 I think that’s all I need say about that.
  13. I’ve been rumbled guvnor
  14. That ‘nice man’ she refers to wasn’t me. Just wanted to clear than up.
  15. Our dog died almost a year before we left the UK for Spain and it was the hardest time I’ve ever had and there have been a few I can tell you. The house was just different, it seemed empty and the life had been sucked out if it. My wife really struggled with it for a couple of years as he died right in front of her and I was about three hours away. I felt guilty for not being there and I think she felt I’d let her down. We both said we couldn’t go through that again and vowed not to have any more dogs but fast forward to Spain and here we are with two of the buggers………….wouldn’t be without a dog by choice. So, it’s Bertie and Lou (cross breed and Labrador) now and Fraser the Springer Spaniel from when we were in the UK.
  16. Yep it’s looks like sun and at least 22 Celsius here
  17. Cheers Pete, hope to catch up soon
  18. Well I cooked the Xmas dinner today and surprisingly we’re still alive. Hope everyone’s had a cracking day and here’s looking forward to a great New Year……….now where’s that bottle of Drambuie?
  19. Clearly he’s got no talent
  20. Is there any other type of cruiser?
  21. It made me laugh when all you heard at the end of 2020 was that things were going to be back to normal in 2021……….no chance! So, 2021; - on the bike front I had a major clusterfuck with the old TL000S and having gone to the trouble and expense of getting it over to Spain at the end of 2020 and running sweetly the thing had to go back to Blighty to be sold (which it did quickly). Bought a scruffy but fast-as-fuck old CBR600F3 to ease my need for speed. Lastly, the Himalayan soldiers on taking me to places I’ve never been and generally making me laugh out loud every time I ride the thing; it’s slow, heavy and rather noisy in a death rattle kind of way but I can’t bring myself to sell it (yet?) - sold the house at last and the deposit has been paid with completion on 17th January next year. Can’t wait to be gone and it’ll save me doing jail time for my cunt of a neighbour. - father-in-law passed away suddenly which made it awkward for my wife as they hadn’t spoken for over five years. - I catch up with my dad once a week via a video call but I haven’t seen him for nearly two years now. I’ve never been very close to my parents but I feel guilty nonetheless as time seems to be going quickly. - had a vasectomy at the age of 62………seemed like a good idea at the time just like the time I bought a Ducati Multistrada ……….and for 2022, if we can stay healthy, find a nice place to live and spend a bit more time with the people I truly value I’ll settle for that…………and maybe a new bike?
  22. However, my all time favourite was and still is the bad-boy Suzuki TL1000S. Here’s my first one and definitely the best of the three I’ve owned. Man, that’s better than any other twin out there
