If a man speaks in a forest but there is no woman to hear it, is he still wrong?
-
So it was already a warmed up engine, weird, you would think it would love bump starting, it's being contrary, it needs a good kicking with heavy boots on or a Basiling with a large tree branch.
-
As it's cold have you got the choke on and using second gear rather than first?
-
I didn't even know Darby and Jones clubs were a thing there?
-
Is it a kick/electric start model or just electric start? Is it carbed or FI?

I just let the bike sit and if the bike didn't want to start come the day I would take the battery off and charge it normally like they did back in the 20th century. I think it's drip feeding day in day out that kills them, but it's only a theory.

Pedro, are these your meunkeys?

What have you captured under you blue crate trap, is it lunch?

Every thread on any bike forum I read that has a bike that won't start always has the words, 'it's been plugged into an Optimate at all times' in it. I can't be the only person seeing a pattern emerging here.

Don't damage the pinlock, they cost a fortune. Work a treat though, mine have never fogged.

Aren't you supposed to get the tyres off the cold ground?

I'm on my third one of those. I chose it because the visor opening is larger so I can see to the side better, plus when riding into very strong sunlight, that even the tinted drop down can't cope with, I can dip my head a little and use the peak as a shade. The peak does not try to rip your head off at motorway speeds either.

I don't want to change my car yet as I've only had it 14 years so it's not old enough yet, but when I do, I want one with a heated front windscreen. The only time I usually seem to use the thing is on really cold frosty or icy mornings and I don't just hate scraping and defrosting the windscreen before I can leave home, I doubly hate having to stop 100 yards down the road to do it again.

The train is there to dominate the scene and stop you looking at whatever the other thing is in the picture.

I recall my mate getting a car with heated seats years ago. He said his wife didn't like them because she said it felt like she had wet herself.

I am not a muff fan (ooer) but I do actually own some (a few pairs actually) and have used them when it is super cold weather. I have found that as previously stated, wrap around handguards are a must to stop your brake light coming on and to keep the inner part open for you to reach the controls. I always end up using a few zip ties at the opening to keep them exactly where I want them, keep switches clear and make putting my hands in an out easy. This means putting holes in them of course. I usually only manage a few days before I get annoyed with them. My main gripe is that I sometimes have to pull my bike backwards whilst standing at the side which is hard to do with a bar muff on and my left hand on the grip and impossible if I need to turn the handlebars left as I go backwards.

GPS device that works like a phone with google maps

I had some woman called Delyth talking about her 'Yeurs' to me in Wales once. I thought she was talking about her experiences a long time ago. It was only when I caught the word 'yeurings' that I realised she was talking about her lug holes. -
Try saying Kilogram instead of just Kilo, that might help.

Asking for directions from strangers doesn't seem half as daunting now as it did before I read this thread..... -
You didn't really think that sentence through did you?

I cleared my PPE and personal lockers at work yesterday. There was a large tin of dog food which is left over from the days I used to feed the yard dog Scruff after Ted died. It's been there since the dog was removed from the yard for biting people once too often. I carried it to the bins on top of a load of old diaries and old paper work, got some very funny looks from other office users that don't know me.
