I'm open to something else......but bear in mind that a distance shot retaining the sharpness and quality is going to require a really upmarket camera. If someone's got something like that (and we know who hasn't) then try and set up a photo shoot.

New 2022 Kawasaki KLR650 Details Released
XTreme replied to Seymour Asscrack's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT
@Tym -
I got a 140 in 120 back in 2013. First ticket that stuck since the 70's cos they had a pic!
-
As I said.....I need a hi quality long range shot minimum of 1920 width.
-
That's not going to fit in the fucking header you twat. It's not the bike that's important it's what it represents.......and where I agree Ted's Triumph is the real deal the vast majority of people on Adv bikes have never heard of him.
-
I can't go round nicking pics.....I need a hi quality long range shot minimum of 1920 width.

What sort of image (if I can find one) would you suggest Bruce?
-
I've now relocated BOTM to the right hand column. This means that going forward we'll be able to use the actual pic you submit rather than what fits. My boy hasn't done the new header yet so I've found an image which I think really suits the site. What do you reckon? My idea is to give a choice of headers when the other one is done! So you can choose which header you want, the default one as above, or the personalised one with members' bikes. You don't get this shit on Buttrider you know.......I think they've used the same pic for 20 years! Tell 'em @Tym

He saves weight by not carrying a camera Bob!
-
The price has gone up that much? And when are you going to do one of your Busting a Cap vids on the Back 40?
-
This is where I live! Yes....it's full of freaks.....but at least there's very few knuckledragging Brits! No one here gets out alive!
-
I'm sure many of you will remember Visordown 20 years ago....it was the biggest UK forum at the time. Then it was sold out to a corporate media company so the members all left and formed The Rev Counter in 2007. And it looks like that's now closed and some of the members from there seem to have started another one nearly a year ago.....Rev to the Limit. It's on phpBB software so it doesn't really look the part these days......but all the best to them.

It's awful Pedro! And on one of those rare days the sun shines then the tailbacks stretch for miles! With everybody going 20mph because every twat in the country gets their fucking caravan out. Imagine spending all day intermittently screaming it in second and third gear to pick cars off while going for any gap in the oncoming traffic that you can. It's exhausting physically and mentally.
-
I don't suppose you've got.......or maybe not?
-
If that's what the requirements are, based on each individual's circumstances, and then throw in the person's preferences.....then it's the right choice Pedro. And riding in Britain is a nightmare in terms of traffic volume, bad road surfaces, and Police surveillance compared to Southern Europe. You can spend all day picking your way past streams of cars.....get half a mile of open road.....then go through the same thing again. And remember that's based on how I remember it in 2005.....it's probably far worse now.

Exactly! The CB750F1 I had in 76 was 235kg, the Bandit 1200 I had in 2001 was 240kg......but neither seemed heavy to me back then. Now they would feel like barges.
-
It's matching bike to individual requirements......your GS is what you need right now Pedro. But over the years the requirements may well change, and it's inevitable that age will catch up with you at some point. I think once I got into my early sixties I started feeling it kicking in.
-
You gotta understand that Google will knock us back Pedro. We want no.1 for the search term "Adventure Motorcycles" not "Shit eating Iberian Beemer Boy".
-
You tell him Tym! About time @Pedro started generating some interesting threads to stimulate discussion. But not any that involve his eating habits obviously!
-
I love Pedro's bike.....I think it's amazing. But given my age, the limited time that I have available, and the riding environment where I am it's just totally impractical for me.
-
It's the logical choice Lionel......manoeuvring half a ton of bike around is no joke in your 60's.
-
Nothing's easy in Spain! And it gets even worse when lazy jobsworth funcionarios are involved!

Put up as a Spoof Pedro.
