Now here's the bottom line on this business with members of another forum getting their accounts restricted.
I'm not going to criticise any other forum......it's their prerogative to run things as they see fit.
Just so you're aware, there are occasions where that course of action (or even a full ban) becomes necessary......but what is the criteria for applying that?
In my book it's applying REAL WORLD VALUES to the situation! Not emotions, or feelings, or hunches......REAL WORLD VALUES!
Therefore, some examples of behaviour that would require accounts to be restricted or closed would be things like threats to other members, posting pornography, posting links to illegal software, racism etc.
You get the picture I'm sure......basically anything that's illegal, immoral, indecent, or unacceptable etc in the REAL WORLD!
Now let's look at the current situation elsewhere! Two guys have had their accounts restricted for giving somebody a link to a bike forum. Just let that sink in......giving somebody a link to a bike forum!
Then ask yourself......is that a REAL WORLD value? If it's not, then I would have to say those restrictions are based on other reasons. And it's not right of me to speculate on those.
