Nice one Terry, I used to love driving and delivering around there , although no so much in the winter Not far from there used to be a really old fashioned store on the main road, they sold everything from groceries , to fags , to coal and even pig feed

Nice one Saul, I haven't been to Westward Ho for over 30 years . Shame about some of the buildings but it's like that in a lot of seaside places now .

This is a great film made by a novice off roader . @Sir Fallsalot , you'll recognise some of the Italian trails .

Today could be very exciting, I’m waiting for the ride report from @busabeast
-
You mean cave don't you ?
-
Does that include yourself Fred ?

I have no idea about that but I'm already over it as for trail use you need to adjust the timing by fitting a different woodruff key to retard the timing slightly. My DR650 is so easy to live with in comparison.

It's a great day to live in an Anglo-Italian household

Next I crossed over the border into Hampshire to ride some lovely lanes ............. A glorious old Hampshire sign post with the unclassified county road behind me .................. I swung back into Wiltshire to head for home and came across this old building . I have no idea what it is and couldn't make out the writing on the flag stone , there is what looks like a reservoir fenced off behind it but I have no idea what the purpose of the ornate building is/was ........................ I rode on down to another couple of byways and as I rode past a huge pig farm I had a feeling of deja-vu . Sure enough when I got to the bottom I remembered the trail , it's rut central and I didn't fancy riding along there .......... I managed to get out of the rut with a bit of effort and rode off piste to escape the rut hell On the way home I crossed the bridge that the Army built over the river Avon , I like riding over this bridge and hearing the clatter of the boards as you cross

I rode onto another byway that passes through a horse stud farm , there is plenty of money around here and they've groomed the way onto to the byway to make it look like you really shouldn't be there ......... The first two Long Barrows were almost non existent , hardly any evidence on the ground that there'd ever been anything there . Then I arrived at Tidcombe Long Barrow and managed to ride around the back so I could park nearby ......... There were glorious views down the valley , I love the old bowser here feeding the cattle trough with water ................ I set the bike down and had a walk around the barrow but it was a bit disappointing compared with others I have visited. It was obvious it had been plundered in the distant past as the central chamber no longer existed but it was still a peaceful place to walk around ............ a Red Kite was flying above trying to make out if I was a possible source of dinner ................ https://greyarro.ws/t/tidcombe-long-barrow-added-to-iconic-landscapes-and-ancient-sites-in-south-west/65588
