  1. I was a late starter to spannering. I got a job with a second-hand car sales place when I was 21, my job didn't involve any of that at first but then I learnt how to pull bumpers, trim etc off cars ready for resprays. Soon I moved onto spraying itself but the one thing I really should have learnt was welding. Before long I was helping the mechanics as well and one day fitted a water pump on the works Escort Van. My boss was impressed but I used to do all that for £20 a week
  2. Behave yourself Fred, smut is @XTreme 's department
  3. I have no idea who the lady was/is ? on reflection I should have gone back and gave her my email address .
  4. I was at that game as well Clive, we won it the year before beating Bolton 3-0 so we were a bit pissed off at losing to Mansfield
  5. Once I got up to the Whiteway (another roman road leading to Cirencester) I passed the flying corps entrance but noticed that one of the Bi-planes was out so I did a swift about turn to go and see............... They were just strapping a young lady down as she was going to do some wing-walking for charity ................ From there I rode down to some lanes near Dalingworth .............. and then back down the Fosseway to head for home.......... When I got to the ford I was really surprised to see that the council had done some great work to stop the 4x4's from destroying the area which had been going on for a couple of years, it was good to see............ I had a chat with a cyclist there and she took a video of me riding through, thank god I kept it upright . It was a great day out and bike behaved faultlessly , there is lot to be said for using original equipment
  6. So far the trails were really dry , yes it's been dry for a long time but we have had some big storms over the past couple of days so I was a bit surprised. And then I came across this................ But that was it as far as flooding was concerned and the weather was great if a tad breezy. Now I started to head south but near Chedworth I swung around quickly as I saw a photo opportunity in a field ..............
  7. I rode on through the Somerfords and up to Brinkworth. I went in the motorcycle shop up there just to have a nose as they had a Mash 650 in there. It looks pretty good in the flesh The next lane was Ravensroost where I got a few 'stares' from a couple of dog owners, hey ho ............... Last night when I was looking at the maps to decide where to ride I found a UCR (Unclassified County Road) that used to run across the airfield at Fairford before it was built. Further investigation on google earth revealed that it still ran up to the perimeter fence. Now in the past I have delivered ordnance to RAF Fairford and it used to be a total ball ache so I was a bit apprehensive about getting a tug from security or the old bill but I rode up there anyway. It turned to be no problem at all and I even got to see a B52 parked up on a side runway............. I hung around for a while but didn't want to push my luck so I set off for a couple of lanes that I hadn't done for quite a few years, This one is near Poulton................ and this one comes out onto Akeman Street which is one of the roman roads leading to Cirencester................
  8. I wanted to give the donkey a run today to check on the mods I'd done to her since coming back from France. So I rode up to Castle Combe and started riding trails at Summer Lane............ Onto the Fosseway at Fossegate and then through Norton and onto Gorsey Leaze where I stopped at the bench to have a coffee........... and the view of the Kings Heath from the bench............. The I went to look at a new (to me) lane that is an access route for the main London-Bristol railway ................ Just up the road I came across this old church at Startley................

  16. Never mind that I'm concerned about how he's going to be understood in Bristol if he's got an accent like yours
  17. Nah, it was Marcel himself that likened a woman's private area to a sandwich
