Wife has turned the heating on (18c) this morning. The bike meet in Matlock is off for me, not setting off in the rain. In other news, the strong wind has nearly blown down our 6ft fence, only the Honeysuckle keeping it upright. Oh to be in England in the summertime

A typical early summer day here, wet, and quite cool. There is a bit of a bike meet up tomorrow, a few old bikes show up (I am told)..... it is held the 1st Wednesday in each month, not been to it yet, and if its like this tomorrow I doubt I will manage my 1st ever attendance..

20c during the day is not even on the cards for our area, or for the next week or so. I think me buying the summer gloves could turn out to be a waste of money.

We have a castle near to us, I have never been to it, on the gate it is £19 pp entrance fee, also i have never visited Hardwick Hall, which is even closer. Last house I visited was Gunby Hall near Skeggy, not a bad entrance fee, but very lacking inside, just 3 downstairs room to look through, upstairs is out of bounds to visitors.
