  1. When Bruce told me the Tiger would not be a free ride to get it back on the road I should have heeded his warning. It tried my wallet, my patience, and my sanity, but while it was running it was a very nice ride, but the carbs ( they were in a bad state after being stood so long) were always a bit of a problem, some day it would run fine, the next, it would loose a little power, or stall at every junction. Maybe ( most likely) I over estimated my capabilities and i should have said Thanks, but no thanks. I read so much on the Triumph forum about the problems that came with Tigers of that vintage, the starter sprag clutch weakness being a big one, and if it went, which it did, it would require a engine strip down that I had neither the tools or mechanical competence to achieve. Jinxed, i don't know, just maybe it was stood too long in Bruce's garage.
  2. He will have to change his name to @Plumbbob..
  3. Well I take it back, I said I will believe 40c when I see it...... Just watched Met office forecast for Monday and Tuesday, and they say 40c for us and 25c during the night......think I will sleep in the pool
  4. Won't be doing to much, in and out of the pool while it's hot. Also have other home chores to do.
  5. I suppose muddy puddles are in short supply at the moment.
  6. You could always start, give it a go, you may enjoy the experience.
  7. Hope this one serves you better @XTreme
  8. Oh god you ain't started sniffing bike seats again.
  9. Oh jeez!,....you will never get out of a muddy puddle with 48 bhp.

  11. We are sat here with baited breath.......
  12. I can agree with number of bats.....when we moved here 8 years ago or so there would be many circling the trees at the bottom of our garden, last night just 2. House sparrows are in very limited numbers too, but bleeding Magpies, lots of them.
  13. Those figures are frightening.............when I used to turn our outside light on with in seconds it would be swarming with bugs, recently very few. But houseflies still manage to end up in my cuppa when I sit outside.
  14. I see plenty of small wild bees in our garden. But big ones (Bumblebee) are a rare sight.
  15. Now you mention bugs, or lack of, I covered around 100 miles yesterday, and on the front of the scoot (it's white remember) I had 4 bug splats in total, and not one on my visor.
  16. Thanks for the reminder we have a inflatable ring somewhere.
  17. Had them done specially for the photo.
  18. Floundering in the paddling pool now. Just need some one to bring us cold drinks on demand.
  19. Lido is open! I inflated it with the vac.
  20. Na, I just climb in the trees at he bottom of our garden.
  21. I am having my tea sat on the garden swing, where I may spend most of the morning till the swing ends up in the sun around midday. More of the same laziness this afternoon.
  22. Bet you say that about everyone.
  23. All of the above no doubt.....
  24. CMC Clay Cross (which is no help to Pete) say walk in and ride out in a couple of hours.
