  1. I know how dumb this question is but I’m gonna ask anyway- Does Norfolk have any mountainous bits or is it all flat?
  2. Love it. How has it panned out for you? ?
  3. I promise I dont post from the point of view of a male with arrested development ? but I have rewritten a few posts I think might set you off ? When I joined the forum that shalt not be named in 2018 I kept quiet about being female cos I know where some lovely gents minds immediately go and it can mess things up, then after about 6 months someone who knew me outed me as being female, you can ask @Six30 he thought I was a bloke right up to the point I went on my sabbatical ? I then got 4 different guys from the forum pm’ing me and emailing me in fairly strong pursuit and I dont blame them for having a go, they wanted a biking bird so why not have a punt but for me it was a right PITA cos some can get nasty when you say no thanks. Some other guys were just nice n normal n friendly (like here) but some of them.... jeez. But its good here, just the normal type of weirdos ?
  4. I think youre all expecting there to be some reasonable explanation for his withdrawal and I dont think youre gonna find one. He wants to be gone so he’s gone. I wouldn’t waste anymore brain space on it.
  5. Yep and I had one I was forced to get rid of. My in laws were busy throwing their weight around and said I couldn’t keep it in the yard (even though there are shit loads of vehicles in the yard) just cos they wanted it to play stupid power/dominance games. So I let a guy who works in the yard have it (for free) and the final sting was they let him keep it in the yard...... and his children used to drive it around the field outside my house. So I had to see other peoples kids ragging my mini around the fields but I wasnt allowed to keep it. Arseholes. Needless to say I have nothing to do with them now (I tried to make it work for years) but their desire to push me around was demonstrated in many very unpleasant ways so fuck ‘em, nasty pieces of work, still sad about my mini though.
  6. Yep it passed for approval in 2019 and was expected to come into play in 2021. Dunno if Covid effected that though and is exactly why I should get rid of it right now cos a lot of people are unaware it’s happening.
  7. I really need to get shot of my current car. Bristol is banning diesel vehicles from the centre soon and other cities are following suit so its not practical to hold onto it. But I cant part with it either, its our family car and I’m stupidly attached to it. Its also started costing me money as bits break. My head is shouting SELL IT NOW MORON, my heart is saying no its fine, wait a little longer ??
  8. They look great @Sofia they suit the bike well. Have you a ride planned?
  9. The Mini Cooper S Love what they represented, how they came about and that despite all their faults theyre really fun to drive, more like a dodgem than a car. Love how they arrived on the rally scene and frightened the competition. Had two old minis, one countryman and one clubman. Neither liked to start if it was raining and required a very specific amount of choke, throttle and correct timing to get them started, mess it up the first time and you were going to be sitting around for a looooong time while it decided when it was gonna start. Loved them both. Id like another one really but the price of them now is ridiculous.
  10. So your soup is a meal of beef and noodles in liquid? ??? The soups sounds nicely sidestepped ??
  11. Nope thats no good either. My understanding of what Americans and Canadians call biscuits are what we would call a scone (same recipe) and that is definitely looking like a cheese scone. And an excellent choice to go with soup ? Not sure what you’d call a cobbler though but reckon that would float your boat too.
  12. In New Zealand Easter weekend is all about ?kill the babbit? Wonder what the kiddywinks make of it? https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/apr/05/new-zealand-easter-bunny-hunt-pest?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  13. Thanks for giving this a bump @Grasshopper's Ride the pics are great. Love how verdant it is and Pedro’s enjoyment of food. Pairing a view with an autumn ride and cheese and chorizo is great. Might add antihistamines to a back pocket before returning.
  14. I had money on you picking up on that ?
  15. Happy Easter you filthy animals. Got a lot of roasting and baking stuff to get on with today so necessary to lubricate the day with plenty of wine. What time is it acceptable to start on the vino? I’m thinking 11am ?
  16. I’m with Boboneleg on this, those tyres aren’t up to much. I also still have the stock tyres on the bike and a better set waiting to go on. Not done for the same reasons as you but they’ll be going on now, thanks for the warning ?
  17. You’re the only person Ive read mentioning this is a low rent low quality forum but what’s more telling is the lack of members disagreeing with you, god I love low brow ?
  18. Sounds like and excellent recipe for enchiladas
  19. Aaw come on spill the beans.. or the fro or the stu, get the laundry out ?
  20. Yer. Off to cook up a storm for the ingrates. If I’m back on here talking more shite than usual later you’ll know why ?
