Psyching myself up for when Mandy gets in from work. A colleague of hers, who is completely incompetent and with no people skills, was made up to manager of the department that she works in. So she's now got an incompetent manager with no people skills telling her what she should be doing and picking holes in everything she does, so she's generally in a pretty foul mood when she gets home. She just needs to get through the next 18 months, when she can start getting her NHS pension, and she can tell them where to stick their job! Although, the way things are at the moment, I'm not sure that she'll last that long before telling them what to do with it!

I think that our flights are around 200€ and the Premier Inns are around £50 a night. We've got to add parking at the airport and a few meals, but it shouldn't be too bad for a weeks stay.

Are you busy icing the cake now then?

How are you guys planning on spending your Christmas? We've got flights back to the UK on Christmas eve, to spend Christmas day and boxing day with my mum and my family. Then we're heading up to Cambridgeshire for another couple of days to meet up with Mandy's kids and maybe spend another day with my boys, before heading back on New year's eve. That's the plan anyway!

We've got a soirée in the village Saturday night. We're making some mince pies to take along. See if we can convert the natives?

Thanks to all for the votes and commiserations to @Saul. I still think that his was the best picture, closely followed by @Pedro, @Six30 and @XTreme.

They are probably all Chinese anyway, Bob. Anyway, I can upgrade to a nice Samsung phone now, with my prize money!

Ditto!

I could change my vote for @Saul, but his is the better picture.

2C when I set out this morning. There was ice on the car when I got my bike out of the garage. Took the non-ebike, as I'm trying to alternate them. The early part of the route was a bit of a struggle, as there is a reasonably long incline to where I took the photos. The rest of the route was OK, but I think that I should have checked the tyre pressures before I left home, because the bike seemed to be taking more effort than usual. I'll get fit, even if it kills me!

China's finest pixellation! I think that there's actually a chinaman with a box of crayons inside my phone!

A one day ban? Must try harder!

It's normally a few degrees warmer here than there @Clive, but, if the wind is in a certain direction, it brings cold air down here from the snow fields on the Pyrénées, which chills things down a bit!

Cycled down to the beach again this morning. 3C when I set out, but got up to a whole 6C by the time I got back. I could see snow on the Pyrénées in the distance. Anyway, I liked to sky over the water this morning.
