Many people are at a loss for a response when someone says, "You don't know Jack Schitt" Now you can handle the situation. Jack was the only son of Awe Schitt and Owe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertiliser magnate, married Owe Schitt, the proprietor of Kneedeep N. Schitt Inc. In turn Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt, and the deeply religious couple had six children: Holie Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Giva Schitt, Bull Schitt and the twins Deap Schitt and Dip Schitt. Against her parents will, Deap Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school drop-out. After being married for 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Mr. Sherlock and, because her children were still living with them she kept her previous name. She was then known as NoeSchitt-Sherlock. Dip Schitt married Loada Schitt and they produced a nervous son, Chicken Schitt. Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt were inseparable throughout their childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The local newspapers duly announced the Schitt-Happens weddings. The Schitt-Happens children were named Dawg, Byrd and Hoarse. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new wife, Pisa Schitt. So now when someone says,"You don't know Jack Schitt", you can correct them because you know his whole family and life story!

I should have kinda maybe mentioned also for a bike for traveling states side and the types of roads we have...I do realize that most of you live in large cities, where a large motorcycles like these makes completely no sence to own... Can you imagine arriving at that motel with a couple of Goldwings...lol...are life could have been in danger ...lol. With lone wolf patches on are back...lol.

Working on a ATV today...just basic...service before winter, oil , grease, checking fluids..and adjusting the shift rod..it's poping out of gears ...the rod it self is pretty flimsy...probably bent..but there's enough adjustment that I can compensate...

My mate Martyn loves his V85TT. It's his go to bike when we go out for our group rides and he has 4 other bikes to choose from. Harley SlideHideGlide thing, New Kawasaki Z900RS, Siebenrock 1000cc converted R80 and a K75s. With an exception I think he has pretty good taste in bikes. Martyn was looking at a Mandello before he got the Kawasaki. We have been taking the piss out of Steve given that he doesn't seem to want to think for himself when it comes to bike choice. Copying me with the CBF600 and Martyn with the Guzzi. Also on Steve's shortlist was a Triumph 900 Scrambler like Andy and a CB750 Hornet like mine. Suppose there is sense to Steve's thinking he has bought bikes that have shown themselves to be reliable and fit for our groups type of riding but even so there are so many good interesting bikes out there to choose from. There were several really nice options in the Kawasaki showroom in his price range. His money and his decision I suppose. I liked the Gold R1250RS in the showroom.

Try rotating them a little forward or up, I am aware they’re pretty flat but it’ll still make them a little taller and make the bike feel more offroad and lively. Might not suit a 160hp bike, but the advice is worth what you paid for it

Not too bad when you get wet if the destination is home and doesn’t take long to get there. I’m glad you’re out on the bike!

I rode it on the trip to Bosham on Sunday. Can't say I noticed any undue vibes but then again the FTR is very vibey so anything else is rock solid by comparison. Every car ive had has been large displacement and lots of low end torque so that's what I am kind of used to and I find it difficult to switch to using the revs to get the ooopfh out of a bike, and that's exactly what the s1000 needs. I owned the MT09 for several months before I noticed that the rev counter went green once you wound the revs up enough . The BMW really is a lovely engine. I have raised the bars by 25mm which weirdly makes a huge difference to the comfort/riding position - I need to decide if I think it would be further improved but bringing them up a bit higher but that would require altering the brake lines. Im somewhat bigger than the average rider so all I can see in the stock mirrors are my shoulders - new bar end mirrors to fit tomorrow which will improve things.

went for a ride, not many happen now....got 30 miles from home and bloody great thunder storm..took shelter in a cafe.. three coffee's later i left and came home wet and P1ssed off

I loved my R1150GS, that Guzzi probably feels like a smaller version one of that, which can only be a good thing. I’m curious to try one out, as a non offroad pretentious machine, just a nice bike. The other day I was looking at a Mandello up close and it is a good looking bike as well, maybe Guzzi is worth a consideration.

When will you take the s1000r for a proper ride, @Nute? It’s a nice engine, but some say it’s a bit vibey.

This afternoon I went to see another mate with an air con leak. I'd had an old refill canister and gauge so drilled a hole in the end and fitted a tyre valve so I could pressure up the system and find the leak. I found said leak, loaded up the car and came home only to find the canister missing. Mates had a look and he can't see it over there either. Early night I think.

Rode down to Lanner this morning with my mate Steve who obviously has money burning a hole in his pocket. He only bought his CBF about three weeks ago, last Friday he impulse bought a Guzzi V85 TT. Very nice it is to. Done 9,000 miles. Some nice bikes out the back. Also loads of nice stuff in the show room. Pricing wasn’t bad either. Especially liked this new all black Z900RS. Home made drain cover made me smile. On the way home popped into Dameralls for a cup of tea as we were riding past. Did about 90 miles bimbling about. Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday
