  1. Past hour
  2. They are saying its fine because we're classed as plant... I have my suspicions its just shite
  3. Wow....I remember doing days like that. I had 1 particular year where I cranked out 650 hrs. in OT alone. Didn't take me too long to figure out that 50 hrs./week was optimum. Otherwise I was wasting my time working mostly just for Uncle Sam....& he's got more than enough of my earnings.
  4. Today
  5. No, you are 100% breaking the law and if you are caught you will lose your CPC.
  6. You should move to Canada...Canada is recruiting foreigners to join the army...
  7. Sadly it did.... after less than 4hrs sleep , I am absolutely shattered with the farce they call a rota at this job, and now im triple stacked for jobs tomorrow, in the yard for 4.30am to get to Northampton for half 7, then another job straight after at 1pm then a job tomorrow night at 8pm... I dont have any details as to how long each of the jobs will take me or when I'll get a break... I dont even think its legal given we're meant to have 11hrs rest between shifts
  8. Yeh it's LED, I am not expecting that I can fix/repair/bodge it, just want to be able to remove it for when I have a replacement to be fitted...
  9. If it hasn't been moved for a while the gasket between can stick assisting the busting process so go carefully. If I remember right they're led and common for failing.
  10. After visiting my wife in hospital I thought I would take a look at the car. The high level brake light does not illuminate, took a gander at it, can I see how to remove it!, can I hell as like, no visible screws, looked on YouTube, it says there are 2 Torx screws?..so where the hell are they? Part 2 of the job tomorrow, I bet I bust it.
  11. Cheers Mate, sounds like a Triumph 855, quite a mechanically noisy engine but that's how they all sound . Compared to my Honda's it's like a Thrashing machine next to a Sewing machine but I have gotten used to the contrast now I know it's supposed to be like that I have listened to quite a few first gen Hinckley triples over the last few months.
  12. Sounds sweet there @Saul....Nice Work.
  13. And then your alarm clock went off....
  14. I believe Pedro gave me the impression that Pedals were the DQing factor, that's why I've been watching from the sideline. I do appreciate your clarity @Saul....you're a Gentleman & a Scholar.
  15. He's not riding an Indian.
  16. Stop pushing things Nute...lol,
  17. Just been out and got some fuel and fired the Sprint up. Sounds awesome to my ears. Started up reasonably quickly once the fuel got through. Came off choke and I had to adjust the tickover slightly but that was it. Impressed that my low fuel light decided to join the party with fuel in the tank. Everything is working including the fan. No reason not to ride it now. I will start with a few short trips until I am used to it, but I haven’t felt like this about a bike since I had my 1978 R100RS.
  18. The Sprint is read to be used, I won’t say finished as it has done 50,000 miles and is 28 years old, there is always going to be something. Only thing left on the list for me though is a wheel refurb and to paint the valve cover but apart from that I don’t know of anything that needs doing. Both of those will be a next winter jobs. Last few new bits for today. I bottled using the black plate so bought a new standard one. Also a new Triumph vacuum line for the fuel tap, I wasn’t happy with the line on it. Also a new knob for the fuel tap as the original one is blobbed up with Araldite or so sort of epoxy. Before refitting the clutch cover I stripped and checked the clutch plates. All friction plates right at the top of the Triumph spec at 3.8 mm or just above. The plain plates all had no measurable warping. I would hazard a guess that this is not the original clutch. While it was apart I fitted the EBC heavy duty clutch springs. Supposed to be 15% stiffer than standard, couldn’t tell really but the action seems much more positive. Hoping the slip I had was due to the slave cylinder which I have already rebuilt So all back together, just need to get some E5 and take it out for a shake down. Gonna wait for a dry day though and give myself every chance to get used to it before I go on any group rides. I so wanted to give it a major polishing but want to give the engine cases plenty of time to cure before touching them. They will get a satin finish and lose the shine over time, like standard.
  19. What about 1 wheel and a motor?
  20. Sorry the end of the month crept up on you.
  21. Easy Tiger no one said that, your cycle has a motor, qualifies as far as I am concerned. Also all you scooterists don't be offended you have 2 wheels and a motor
  22. By who ? Some Harley dude in the parking lot ? Have you mentioned this to your wife..?
  23. Clearly not you, the bike is upright.
