Ill show the online review he gave me....it's the last one...lol ....the fellow forgot to mention a few details...lol
-
You probably made him commit suicide, you nasty baguette eater
- Today
-
Yes he says , I was coming from town yesterday and it started to overheat again...lol...from his place its about 50 km or so...so on the way back I dropped it off...said ok Ill have a look...asked him did, did you change out the radiator ? He says no...lol. After checking it out , can't remember if it was cylinder # 2 or 3 but it was completely flooded with anti- freeze...lol...call him back , he starts getting upset on the phone...lol...tells me you don't warranty your work ? ...I tell him you want me to warranty a job with parts you got online on the internet...took the head to a machineshop that I don't do business with cause of crappy work...the shop didn't even remove the valves to check it for cracks and you drove that thing with a plug radiator....lol. Told him get that piece of shit out of the yard and if your not happy...take me to court...lol, never heard from him again...lol.
-
Ya thanks Pedro, was a total highjack on my part , those two idiots are at it again...lol
-
Myself, I enjoy doing that kind of work...especially if you've got an array of new parts for replacement. Inline 4's or parallel twins/triples are much more pleasant to deal with vs. wrestling w/ V4 carbs, which can sometimes be a real bitch.
-
I should be fine, I haven't separated the carb bodies so it's just the floats, jets and a few sundary bits, reasonably easy, one done already just stopped for a cuppa. Although I know i am tempting fate.

What happened next?

Gave @Saul's Kawasaki thread a clean to try and not let it get hijacked by Marcel being teased.

Anyway continuing with the story....the thing got so hot that it deformed the thermostat housing made out of space age plastic..lol, told him the engine is cooked , anyone who has ever worked on a car engine , there's a distinctive smell to a cooked engine , told him you better take the lost for the 500 instead of putting money into that gollopy...but no , he was one of those mister know it all , like @Buckster and @busabeast ,...ya , ya ive done this before and it worked out , and I've bought all of the parts online to fix the thing...I tried to advise him but he wasn't hearing it...anyway I took the head off and he brought it to a machine shop to have it checked out....put the thing back together, think it was Friday afternoon I was done with it...but I couldn't run the thing more than 5 or 10 min before it would start overheating...lol....that sealer did and excellent job to the radiator and heatercore , plugged everything solid , it was that white thick stuff , like liquid silicone almost...lol. I call him , im done with the car , told him not to run the car until that radiator was changed out...even offered him a tow to his place on discount it was about 30 km away...and he refused and drove the car from the lot...come in monday, what do I see in the yard..the same pt cruiser...he calls....
-
Ordered a double din inner fairing today.
-
In the 27 years it never happened, I did trow maybe 2 or 3 customer out of the shop , remember this one guy ...lol...bought a 500 dallor car , a PT cruiser , bought it to the shop for a head gasker...he supplied all of the parts , gaskets , head bolts...after checking the car out , who ever sold it , stuck a can of sealer in the rad and the guy drove it down to shop wich was about a 80 km ride....lol

What do say @Clive?

Good luck. I always find I have a few bits left over once I put stuff like that back together
