Got some questions about your drift punch bushing installer.... Where did you find it...? Is it a specific Harley tool....or just a generic one that works ? Been looking for one for years but I've been the victim of buying online tools before..that never seem to be the right one or quality you'd hope for....not that I need one at the moment...lol...but owning another Harley isn't out of question...maybe my next one will be a good used one with the upgrades already done...think now that's the way to go...cause really with thousands worth of upgrades all bike sell no higher than retail....unless you have a rare perle...my 2015 was already showing slop at barley 30 though miles...in a way ..lol...i find it's a thing that makes Harley look like a Harley...at idle it looks like everything is about to rattle off the bike...

Ok I'll give you a chance to apologize to me and I'll stop posting on this subject.... Or I just might continue and tell you why I'm not a washed up has been like you think I'am....lol. And be ready for some more of this...lol

My proudest achievements for the time I've been on this earth are my boys...not only that I was always the only primary care giver ...and now grown up and both will be successful and be a productive member of society.... And now why I choose to be single nowadays....Maybe I haven't found the right one...after going through 18 years of torment...I'm really not interested now into taking the chance to get involved with someone for more torment...lol....maybe im a little selfish in someway....but I see life differently now..at 61...every day is a blessing to me now and I enjoy every minute of each day from sun up to down... Let me ask you this....if you were living with someone and you decided to leave for two weeks with your riding buddies across the americas and spend shared income... I have only a ball park figure...3 to 4 thousand dallors ....do you think that would cause friction between the parties involved...?

Yes it's pretty pathetic that it comes to this over a flaking camshaft....lol. Seems that I can't reply on my own threads now...lol. After going through the stuff that was resently deleted ...and Im sure this will be deleted too... I'd like to respond to what you mentioned about me...about being a wash-up has been , why I was single and that I was only a boucher mechanic and my only tool in my aresenal was a 3 pound sledge...lol. Tell you the truth the 3 pound sledge back and forth is hilarious to me...it's why I include it in the pics I post...lol. Has for being a wash-up has been..... I do realize now at the age 61 that my better years are behind me...to be realistic what's left ?...10 to 15 years tops , I figure, that's if my health remains the same...but has been I'm not...and I'll tell you why that is....before you delete everything again...lol.

A little boy got on the bus, sat next to a man reading a book, and noticed he had his collar on backwards . The little boy asked why he wore his collar backwards . The man, who was a priest, said, " I am a Father . ." The little boy replied, "My Daddy doesn't wear his collar like that." The priest looked up from his book and answered, "I am the Father of many . The boy said, "My Dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he doesn't wear his collar that way!" The priest, getting impatient, said . "I am the Father of hundreds", and went back to reading his book. The little boy sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and said, "Maybe you should wear a condom, and put your pants on backwards instead of your collar."

The smoke is down-right oppressive....& we've now reached 1.5 million burned acreage statewide. Praying for rain daily.

Clutch is fully assembled, I will put it back in the bike in the morning, I had to go out and help a friend with a problem with his electric garage door this afternoon, the friction pads on the Barnet clutch are much wider than the oem. It all went together nicely, quite an easy job really. The press is one I bought on Amazon, it was a return apparently and was been resold for less than £80 so I snapped it up and have not regretted it.
-
have no idea if I just flush mo ey down the toilet....lol....kinda looks like it does the job....didn't want to glue anything to my lid or the bike...
-
I've just ordered this...for the coming road trip to sturgis.....Roland is having serious though about joining the ride at the moment...lol...
-
Tend to agree w/ Marcel....that press is a handy piece of equipment to have in your tool arsenal...
-
I don’t use it very often, in fact it is only the second time, plus I keep it partially disassembled as I have no where to permanently put it.
-
That press looks prestine...is it new ? Not going to lie but at times I enjoy more buying a new tool than parts for a repair or the repair itself...lol
-
So today I pressed apart the clutch basket and replaced the clutch hub bearing and pressed it all back together. Here it is all pressed apart. New bearing pressed in and retaining ring fitted. Inner hub pressed in and retaining ring fitted. Time for lunch then fit the new clutch pack.

There was some words about being able to switching to 10w50 synthetic but that was supposed to be mainly because there was a shortage of the synthetic 5w40 on several markets due to supply chain issues.
-
Wasn't there something about the Beemers going back to conventional oil as the synthetic was glazing up the bores?

A woman was on the way to winning $100,000 on a game show, but her final question was suspended for the next night. Her husband sneaked into the studio and found the question and answer. He raced home and told his wife "Your question is 'What are the three main parts of the male anatomy', and the answer is 'The head, heart and penis.' The woman thinks about this throughout the night, but keeps forgetting the answer. Her husband keeps reminding her, "The head, heart and penis." Come the game show she has forgotten again, and the presenter asks, "For $100,000, what are the three main parts of the male anatomy? You have ten seconds." "Um... the head." "Good. Eight seconds." "Um... the heart." "That's right. Five seconds." "Oh... um... damn. My husband drilled it into me last night and I had it on the tip of my tongue this morning..." "That's close enough! You've won $100,000!"

After that mileage there will be engine wear, when the bike isn’t moving to pistons lean on the rings in the bores. You have to hand it to those Nazi engineers.
-
Yes, but these watercooled ones don’t use oil. The amount of oil is acceptable, so I’ll just keep an eye on it.
-
Probably the rings, that’s good for a horizontally opposed engine.
-
Mine has never used a drop of oil until now, it has started to do so about 10k ago, and is using about 400/500 ml per 6 or 7000 km. We plan to take it apart at around 200.000km and rebuild it, unless it gets substantially worse.
