It was a teenager's bike, maybe he just felt like updating it from teenager Rossi to adult Rossi and had a couple of cans of spray paint and a mate with a sticker printer. I found it funny as hell after my initial "weird Yamaha" when it firstly ring-a-ding-dinged from a distance.
