Had a serious session with the physio this morning which did my arm some good so I thought I'd better cancel that out straight away by going riding this afternoon

Almost caught the curvature of the earth here, or what would be the curvature if it wasn't actually flat of course...DSC04274.thumb.JPG.8e0470e23a81bdced5ae8d3c48467258.JPG

and in a small village "Massangis" I nearly missed this but Tigger said "Oh! Tymmeh's Tomos!" DSC04284.thumb.JPG.5ff52bab51ba7bf81e10f5f1f67c2b2b.JPG

But it wasn't, it's Motobecane  from 1974 ( i think) and there's another one the other sideDSC04286.thumb.JPG.7c317d8adae770601cee316803eaf54f.JPG

I spent an hour or so here, this guy doesn't really sell them, he does them up. the motobecane will do about 70kph he reckons and last year he rode it down to the Millau viaduct and back with some mates on similar machines, that would be a hoot! in the vice in his workshop/ front room was the motor from a 1959 Solex

and today;DSC04288.thumb.JPG.d15a6d90f1ecb9f01bbe46fc749c0c79.JPG

The light was fading fast but when he said he used to ride big bikes and still had a Thruxton and a Velocette in the garage out the back I just had to have a peek

and was confused to find only one bike... 'turns out to be a Velocette Venom Thruxton (which I didn't know even existed, I thought only triumph did a "thruxton") from 1967 if I remember right. gorgeous machine... but he rather i didn't take pics of it as it's worth quite a lot of money apparently.

I still had an hour or so to ride home and it was nearly dark so I didn't take any more pics and got home around 7.

My arm now hurts like hell, but it was worth it.
