Kg per ton thing.... you mean bhp per ton?

facepalm GIF

Ya ya whatever....that thing...im just curious..if it be close..

What numbers do you need..

I'd say with almost empty fuel the bike weighs 450 lbs...100 hp at the wheel...( or more..lol) and I weight 80 kg..180 lbs...

450 lbs for the bike...think it's around 204 kg...

So the bike with you on it is around 284kg and the bike makes 100bhp

That gives a bhp per tonne figure of.....

352.11bhp/tonne= not enough to worry the busa over a ¼mile drag race

At 352bhp per tonne your giving away just over 200bhp/ton to me so I don't think it would be quite as close as you'd hope

Someone better check that math of yours...lol.

200bhp / ton....I'd be giving away ?  ...your bike weighs like a ton more with you sitting on it...FFS ...lol.

So with me on it my bike weighs 370kg it has 205bhp at the back wheel

Gives it 554bhp per tonne

You can check it yourself on Google and typing in bhp per ton calculator and clicking on the launch tech UK one that I've been using

So no your bikes in all honesty even if i didnt get a good launch would be passed by the ⅛mile point

What i don't understand is ..a 2022 1290 supposedly can run the quarter in..11.4 to 11.2...with a 160 hp...and a bone stock 950 can run 11.9..with a 100 hp...let's say the 950 has 110 hp and played around with the gearing...what now..?

You are just saying things, get out there and lets see you're timing slip if you can consistently run under 11 seconds quarter mile then you'd be able to see me on the busa but until you do you're just talking shit

Talking to the chap in Colchester Diesels today. When I went in Monday he asked what bike I was riding and I never asked him. Turns out he has GSXR1000, turned and banging out around 210bhp. That should get down the strip fairly well.

You maths is way off Rich,  Marcy’s Indian is around 380 kilos and he must be 100kg at least.      That’s around 205 BHP per tonne, not in the same field as a Busa. 😳
