I hear ya! I was just looking at a new Arai for the Goldwing. I feel like a twat riding on it with an Adventure helmet. But the Arai I wanted was nearly $1,000 - I just couldn't do it.

My kind of place!

Ahh well that makes sense.

Nah - happened pretty fast and never really bothered me for some reason. I thought if that guy was so broke as to rob someone for $40 - then he didn't have money for bullets. I think just about everyone I know has had a weapon pointed at them at some time or another. Not many actually get shot though.

I almost got shot in the head once, but that wasn't really my fault. Would have been a dumb way to die though. In high school, I worked at a petrol station - full service in those days so I had to pump the gas into each car. Anyway, guy pulls up and I fill up his car. He then grabs me and holds a pistol to my head as he snags all of the cash I had on me to make change. Probably only $40 or so. Tells me to run for the station door and not to look back or he'll shoot. Sped off before I could even turn around. Fuckin' wanker.

Snowing now with 8 inches expected today. Glad I got a ride in a couple of days ago as I won't this weekend.

Maybe not deep enough? Too much lube?
-
I did. Along with the heated grips. The grips work well enough but the seat doesn't really heat up too much.

Truth be told, I was more worried about my balls than fingers and toes. I could live without fingers and toes. But all parts are where they were before I left so I'm in good shape.

Just got back from my first ride of the year. Been over 6 months since I last rode. Froze my ass off but it was worth it. Ride report coming soon ....

Those were right at $400 / Euro 366 / 322 pounds - but that's also a wide 200 series rear tire so it's gonna cost more than ADV tires I buy for the Tenere - which are a lot cheaper.

That only took 3 hours..... Got the rims off of the Goldwing today. Front came off really easy but the rear was a pain in the ass. Five lug nuts - as you would have on a car - that were really stuck on there. Had to use an impact gun to get them off. Hope they go back on easier. Off to the bike shop with them to get new tires mounted in the morning...
