  7. OK, sorry about my rant.? I had never had ABS before my Himalayan and I didn't really want it as I never "needed" it before. The 2020 Himalayan has it so you can turn it off and on, which is nice I guess.
  8. I like old tech..... Taking it slow does not have to be boring! ?
  9. I feel sadness for your KLR @Tym, the thought of a KLR that doesn't get wet and dirty makes me feel like throwing mud chunks at you.....or pushing you in a puddle, you see what you are doing, I'm losing it here at this non logicalness and becoming violent..... ?
  10. I have a new found respect for the Transalp, after watching Pedro Mota and his adventures on one I can just imagine the places one can take / get you. ?
  11. I love cows! ? ? What a beautiful place to ride!
  12. Epic little ride, looks like some great trails. I love how easy it is to get yourself into these situations with an adventure bike, always makes for good stories when you get home. Nice photos! ?
  13. Considering the truck's speed we were all lucky to see him in time, even when we were watching for just such a thing. Stop by the video thread to see the event unfold ?
  14. Looks like an amazing ride! ?. I would love to visit Montana some day.
  15. Really interesting place to explore, thanks for risking your life to bring us these adventures..... ?? Seriously, stay safe, is there maybe a cooler time of the year to be going out there? I think it is awesome that you are still seeking adventure, at any age. I know way too many people who sit on their ass and let life pass them by, live it and enjoy it! ?
  16. Hate to break it to you boys, but it's not WHAT you are riding, it's HOW you ride it, just say'n..... ??
  17. WHAT? REALLY? Never would have guessed it.... ?
  18. Always the voice of reason @Pedro ? I was going to say something, but some people need to learn the hard way... ?
  19. So true, I know a few people where I live that have been run off the road, scary if the side ditch is WAY DOWN... I was worried the weight would transfer back my way and keep coming right onto ME ?
  20. He was so spooked by the cyclist that he must have been eating a sandwich or something, for sure not paying attention. I was happy that I managed to pull over and not fall into the ditch beside me. I even put the bike into neutral without knowing I did. ?
  21. I'm hoping the truck driver needed to change is underwear when he got home, brown zone for all involved. ? You are so right, the Himalayan is perfect for the Sunshine Coast and the conditions here, I love it. I was about 45mins from home so I guess I could have dragged my mangled body home to die if needed.... I was so happy to be alive that day, truly. Had to crack open a bottle of expensive Cognac when I got home. ?
