  1. I have two stuffed in the Bata's tyres lol
  2. I think you are mistaking me for Marcel that was his specialist area
  3. Was that recorded with a Nokia 3210
  4. Always wanted one of those but ended up with the YZ490 which only had a 4 speed box Huge fun a fear at the same time. When kids used to ask me how powerful it was I always used to say, when you whip the throttle open wide the bike didn’t move towards the horizon the world just rotated under the rear wheel bringing the horizon to you
  5. They looked better with wire wheels, this was my dads one, his was a 1959 and that one was manufactured in 1951 but re-registered in 1987 for some reason. Just checked my dads old car on DVLA and its still on the road, it says it is red but for some reason i thought it was British racing green
  6. They were that shit they had to carry 4 spare spark plugs LOL
  7. I've been ages looking at those photos for a sprocket but all i can see is a transmission pulley
  8. Another one i had with mine when it was cutting out for no reason was a broken loom around the headstock. Got to the bottom of it when it would only run when going straight or turning left. If i remember right there was a bunch of commons all crimped together and wrapped up in the loom, one cable had corroded off
  9. Oh where is @Slowlycatchymonkey on this day of fooling, i recon i could have roped her in again with some flight of fancy
  10. Had a run on the dog this afternoon, didn't have a destination in mind and after bumming about at the start i ended up in the Elan Valley, It was going to be a nice gentle back road ride, but as usual i couldn't resist the odd dirt track as i was passing Don't know why i decided to go up here i know what its like and it doesn't get better with time or easier with age Crychan Forest was still closed by fallen trees after the storms a few months ago Not getting through there in a hurry but luckily there was a forest road that i could use as a route around it This was a nice lane but way too many gates for the length of it And another tree down too big for the silky saw but easy enough to get around Water levels looking low in the reservoirs When i got to the dam i remembered they are changing a valve at the bottom of the dam and i think they are keeping the levels low to do it, i will be there to install and wire up the control panel for it sometime this year, a job i looked at about a year ago. And this was the last photo before heading home. 160 mile round trip this was my route
  11. Did you wiggle the CDI plugs you probably know they were known for dry joints on the circuit board in the CDI. When I first had the bike i had to change my CDI because of it.
  12. Just done the oil and filter on the Dog may have a ride on it tomorrow.
  13. I got roped into picking up and fitting a new washing machine for the mother in law today. Considering the industry i work in you'd think disconnecting and re-connecting the drain wouldn't be an issue for me but by god it stank when i disturbed it, give me a shit works any day.
  14. Going to warm the dog up as it needs an oil and filter change not sure what i'm doing after that yet.
  15. When you said taking the carb off a cold shiver rain down my spine LOL. I will be looking to get mine off at some point i have a flat slide in there and need to take the throttle cable off to measure it up so i can try and get a spare somehow, not sure where to start with that though.
  16. @boboneleg Our third transit had to go in for emergency repairs today although that was more wear and tear and user abuse, Broken front suspension spring and brake pads down to the metal The Transit stuck in North wales has been repaired had to have a new steering column.
  17. I think it's a Transhit
  18. @boboneleg and one of our other transits was reported to have clutch issues today both vans less than 60,000 miles. My transporter has just passed 140'000 miles and the other is just coming up to 150,000 miles and both have had just wear and tear repairs you'd expect from vehicles with that mileage, and they get battered, a lot of the sites we visit are up dirt tracks and back roads not just nice motorway miles.
  19. Just to cheer you up Bob, one of our Transit's is stranded in north wales with power steering failure this week, had to get the boys into a hire van and leave it at a garage up there, hopefully it will be sorted when they go back up next week.
  20. I have a choice of 3 this month The XR at the beginning The Dog in the middle And the Beta at the end of the month I'll let you choose one @Pedro and choose good
