  1. Your wrong Pedro honestly look again LOL Oops
  2. I paid £300 for a CB750F1 in bits in the late 80's it came with a new genuine Honda seat still in the wrapper which would have cost the best part of £300 on it's own then, i sold it for £500 a few years later but should have asked more my mate sold it for me and said people were still asking him if it was for sale months after it had sold
  3. Not sure but have done 200 mile before needing to top up, when the low level light comes on its still around half full i usually don't see the light come on so it panics me a bit when it does. I always carry 150ml of oil for emergency use but thought i didn't pack it in my rucksack but when i got home i found i had Doh!
  4. Yes in my youth i used to live on the bike didn't have a car so used to commute on it as well as ride for pleasure it had 64000 miles on it when i sold it. I bumped into it in Aberystwyth about two years later and it still hadn't got to 65000 miles
  5. Cant you remember insurance here Moon that has been a thing since the beginning of my time its just a normal thing here, but i do feel its a way for the insurance company's to get out of paying if you fail to mention it
  6. Had a little bimble today on the Beta. I haven't been on it since November so it needed a run. First thing i noticed when getting ready was my bike trousers have shrunk i'd blame the wife's washing but she hasn't washed them so not sure whats going on there LOL. The bike fired up no problem i let it warm a little and off i went to explore some woodland a few miles from me I went over the old parish road from my fathers house its hard to believe i drove my reliant robin up here in the late 80's and my father drove a bubble car up here in the late 60's Had a little look about in the woodland below thought i found a new trail but it was a dead end I rode over to the next valley from here for another look about, started heading down through the woodland following a trail and lost track of where i was and wasn't too keen on going back up what i just came down, stopped here for a quick wee and to get my bearings A guy passed on a trials bike on the track at the bottom of this bank so i rode down to ask him the best way out after he told me i had to come back up as i left my glasses here after my wee Obligatory photo of a stream crossing Back on a track i know heading over to the Rhondda valley Had to cut the ride short as the low oil light came on i hadn't topped it up from the last ride and didn't check it before i left which is not like me i'm usually paranoid about the two stroke oil level This is looking up the Rhondda valley taken from a different location to my usual one which is about in line with with the handlebars on the hill in the distance by Miriam's bench It was good to get out but i could really feel my lack of fitness i need to get out more to build it back up even my thumb was hurting i think from when i bent it back crashing the dog a few years ago
  7. It's not just the extra power Pedro it's about 5kg lighter as well
  8. I had one of those in blue, sold a CB750F1 to get it and at first ride i thought i made a mistake as riding it home it seemed to have the same performance as the CB750 which i was disappointed with as i wanted something quicker, but when i got it on the oped road i decided to take it to the red line and oh boy what a difference, when it reached the rev's that the CB was running out of breath at it just took off, it was like a rocket i just burst out laughing to myself, I owned it for about 4 years but had a speeding ticket for three of the four years i owned it so it had to go i was like an idiot on it. Put about 45000 trouble free miles on it except for my bad maintenance it was faultless
  9. Having a clean up in the garage and I realised why i don't have a box of shame, its because they don't make a box big enough for everything i fuck up, so for you Bob this is how i deal with it
  10. Cant drink it horrible stuff LOL
  11. I started with the unmarked bottle which i think is home made wine it tastes like port and i think it would have done a better job of stripping the varnish i was removing earlier so i moved onto the Merlyn which is a Cream Liqueur made by Penderyn distillery up the road from me. still bloody orrible though lol
  12. I tell a lie he was out with them my mistake
  13. Fuck just run down the corner shop to get more booze and the fucker shut 1 minute early. feck all in the house alcohol alcohol everywhere but not a drop to drink this is my choice and i don't like any of it
  14. I weren't there Bob been getting high on varnish stripper all day was in no fit state to ride
  15. Whoever puts the rides on sets the numbers Bob if i'm putting a ride on its usually a maximum of six including myself but it depends where the ride is if its local i don't mind more
  16. Word on the street is Pedro is getting wood from men now so he might be the one to ask
  17. No i think he was on one of the other rides
  18. Yes there's loads out every weekend, usually groups of 8 to 10, the south wales TRF group is getting towards 600 members now so its busy 4 rides advertised this weekend and a few through the week. Not all are south wales based or active but there's probably 30 to 40 regular riders local to me
  19. Plenty on one of the TRF rides today as well
  20. My fist bike was a DT175mx i learned to ride on it thought it was a great bike and looked for another a few years ago but slapped myself because i knew if i got one it would just be taking up space in my garage
  21. It's shit Bob stupidly overpriced chicken. I've been once with my daughter as it was the only place i could take her out for food that she would go to full of kids i wont be going back
  22. been stripping varnish off part of my staircase today as i'm home alone i can now say i'm a little Fumes are setting the carbon monoxide sensor off
  23. I had a book that told you what sort of mileage you could expect to do major component replacement on bikes of that era, i remember all the CB's were something like 40'000 miles the GS's were 100'000 miles.
