spent much of today ( and most of last night) on the phone with daughter No.2b who is massively unhappy at uni the other side of the country ( lucky that walking around with a phone to my ear is normal practice at work) I also have man flu so am obviously at death's door.

spent yesterday wondering if Pedro was going to come far enough east for me to ride out and meet up for a drink / feed. I’m lucky, I have a fully equipped workshop and lifts etc at work so i do most stuff there during lunch time, i also have tame mechanics who will do the more complicated stuff for a pack of beer or a bottle of wine… This car is a hybrid monstrosity and still under garantee, ( though i replacesd the tyres at work) so its all done at the dealers, but i wouldnt pay thos prices otherwise.

I'm taking my car in for a service tomorrow morning. Quote was 400 odd €... it's only happening cos its still garanteed though, once that's over it'll be dne at work like the other 3

The tiger could do 280 km on a full tank, but only if ridden intelligently to maximise range. Not at 8omph though. The autoroute speed limit here is 130kph, so 128mph and riding that speed I usually reckon on 250km range. less if loaded.

At the spot where the two French forces met on 12th September 1944 ( one laned in Normandy with Operation Overlord, the other in Provence with Operation Dragoon) I got there just 81 years late...
