I must admit I did question the logic of taking my bike last night. Mind you in an hours time I get to ride down the A39 home which is well known as a great biking road and I am looking forward to it. Great end to the shift, with a warm bed as the goal. I might even reach the giddy of heights of 41 mph if the wind is behind me.

Oh dear you are predictable . Is it cause you think I is gay

I am working at Stratton Hospital in Bude tonight and thought it would be a great idea to take my bike and get my first ride of 2023 in. Not the smartest choice, nothing like doing 42 miles in the dark through thick fog to give you that wtf am I doing moment. Never made it above 40mph cause I couldn’t see a fecking thing. To be honest it would have been no better on 4 wheels but at least I would have had a heater and radio. At least it will be dry for the ride home tomorrow morning

When my choir met Pele. Before my time with them but it does make me smile. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0ds6b2z?fbclid=IwAR2oiM5ULyGlmAyPwV9-zd5cBHf72Y58lU89Dk9msSWxKjQF35lLrDYL0kA

Much riding proposed, looking to change my job, get fitter and improve my health. Lots of singing and thinking of doing some sort of advanced riding course so that I can volunteer for the blood bikers. All general goals granted but I am sure more will come into focus as it gets closer.

I know mate, it doesn't bare looking at to closely. Genuine people like John Pilger see it coming .

Enjoyed this report Bob, great idea to. Inspired me to do one for Fowey River from source to see.

War China vs Taiwan, also getting fruity in the Balkans. I genuinely hope and pray it doesn’t kick off but if it does the consequences are scary.

One of our second rows used to take great pleasure shitting in the bath. Dirty bastard, always knew if there were bubbles around him get out sharpish clean or no.

Nah done and dusted, bringing on Tizzard and Earl doesn't bode well for Exe.
-
I know what you mean, its all part of their influence, needle, whooping, carping and shithousery they often suck good refs into that bubble, its part of the reason I can't stand them. Winning at all cost no matter how on the field is not how I see rugby values, unless its a Cornish team of course

Mako isn't the force he was, got stuffed last week. I like Harry Williams but think Mako has the smarts on him at the moment, definitely in Maxwell-Keys view . Nowell is playing well. Exeter aren't the same force this year, even fully loaded. I still smile at Pirates humiliating Sarries in the Championship a couple of years ago. Mind you I am a one eyed Cornishman who spent years seeing Exeter as the enemy in the Championship.

You look the part mate, robo knee and all. Remember getting the scaffolding on to play also. Very few photos of me playing, mostly before moby pics were a thing. I last played in 2005 I think, distant memory . My first adult game was 1983. Different game then, especially at junior level. An 80 minute rolling maul, interspersed with scrums and lines. Fun to play boring as hell to watch.

Just seen the team sheets, no Dickie, Ewers, Simmonds or Ver Mulan, Gonna be a long afternoon
-
True that.

Funnily enough as I got older everyone around me got bigger so I had to rely on being a horrible sneaky vicious old git. Many boring tales to tell about that
-
So do I, I hope Ewers goes through them like a dose. I can’t be doing with Sarries constant whooping and shithousery.

Managed 8k today but it was pissing down and slippery as . Managed to go over 4 times in the first 2k. Once so dramatically that one of my earbuds flew out and it took me 10 mins to find it. The Dear Boy saw it all as abuse and got pretty pissed off with me. Got home soaked and the only way to dry out was a hot shower. . We are both on the bed blanketed waiting for the rugby to start so he has forgiven me.

Neck and back just a painful unmoving lump, remember that. Only thing that touched it for me was to nick My Mrs’s Feminex tabs or my dads cocodimol. I didn’t mind flanking as you got chance to rough up the backs but I was never really quick enough play there .

I do remember days like that. Sunday morning lying bed, thinking just don't touch me ever again and I will be fine. Having to turn my whole torso as my neck or back no longer worked. Joys of the day after rugby, normally with a hangover thrown in for good measure. Do still miss it to be honest, getting old sucks sometimes. If the neck thing didn't give it away, tight head when it mattered ponced around at flanker when it didn't
