  1. When I sat on one it reminded me of my old R65 in terms of size and weight. I think bikes are just mostly physically bigger now as has been said already.
  2. I went through a similar thing with my Son last August. In the end, for us, the best option was to buy a new Sym Orbit 125. Everything we looked at was knackered with at least one thing broken. The Sym isn't fantastic quality but has proved reliable so far and has survived my son coming off twice. To be honest it's ok to ride, would never be my choice but it is functional transport, what it will be like when its 3 years old will be interesting. Twas £2.5k but a decent Honda was £1K more. I think you will be lucky to find a decent second hand twist and go for reasonable money just by the owner profile. Geared bikes are a different matter or so I observed.
  3. R90/6 or S can't really see. Very cool bike either way.
  4. Singing up the Crown Inn Lanlivery tonight, then working from 23:00. Watching the 6 nations and working for the rest of the weekend. Cold and gonna piss down here so I doubt I will be commuting on the bike.

Plenty I would imagine, it's in the centre of town so I doubt you would go unnoticed.

It does but it maybe a Rogue Chase or Shoei Glamster, I like the Bell Bullit personally.

The whole thing is the brainchild of our local Church Warden and a Parochichial Councillor who is the a Consultant at the only A&E in Cornwall, a local County Councillor, choirmaster, you name it he does it, anything for self promotion. Also has political ambitions to be an MP and is a grade A arsewipe. We had a brilliant Vicar until he was driven out several years ago, now the church is empty and run by Gargoyles. I not that religious but do recognise that our church was the centre of the community, not so now. It's all very sad really.

Imagine having this in the early 70's, coolest kid ever. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134480597300?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20220705100511%26meid%3D801706bdf84c4c54a03b6cfabd4fdb10%26pid%3D101524%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D134480597300%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2&_trkparms=pageci:9d30fb51-be1f-11ed-acf1-ae6a84875495|parentrq:c422a7381860a0d2d1dd49ecfffffcb8|iid:1&_trksid=p2380057.c101524.m146925&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&siteid=3&campid=5337705843&toolid=20008&mkevt=1&ul_ref=https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1&fbclid=IwAR3F8W8mZ0b8Yy7BFJkS__gdZNizRYFH6KrZLxYGfivfgk2sCuLCo1pC-YI

  12. To be honest when we were all on 250's the MZ was mostly a match for the 4 stroke jap stuff, XS250, GSX250 and Honda G5/Dream/Super Dream. Not close to jap two strokes though. I also had a mate with a C15, when he was mostly fixing rather than riding. Sounded good when it was going but that wasn't often.
  13. I had a mate who had a Supa 5 with a Polaris fairing on it, I always thought is was as cool as. Several of my mates had Simpsons, when I was a sixteener you either got an R reg Moped (Fizzie or AP50) or new Simpson. It was amazing how much abuse those Simpsons took. MZ's are in the group of odd old shit that I like.
  14. Oh I do like an ETZ, I would love an old MZ 250 Supa 5. Ring ting ting tough.
  15. That was the thrust of what I was saying is if and when my E46 is no more I will try and find something older and simpler, I don't enjoy the way new cars are going in terms of owning one. Great to drive but way to complicated and expensive to fix, the modern Skodas I drive at work are great cars to drive but I wouldn't own one. The breakdowns we have had over their 5 years with us have been numerous and expensive, we have even had one of the 10 burn to the ground. We have got Kodiaqs coming in May, that's going to be interesting in service. Again lovely cars to drive but how they will cope with our service will be interesting which DCT's, button handbrakes and touch screen everything.
  16. I don't see that, key based immobiliser is old tech that has been used for years. My E46 has a key, hand brake, normal clocks and manual gearbox. Just how I like it. I have read no end of horror stories about E46's, never had to spend anything on mine apart from tyres and servicing. It's 21 years old and I would trust it to go anywhere.
  17. I'm not a fan of it, when my E46 dies I don't know what I will do, all this new tech, keyless, touchscreen, push button handbrake, DCT malarky just gets on my tits.
  18. Yeah to make a living at it, around £30K a year at 100,000 or so I heard, but these things change, they have an adpocalypse every now and again which cuts the revenue but its not something I follow that closely.
  19. True mate only saw a couple of them the whole time.
  20. I don't think that chap is making much with just 10K subscribers, 100K maybe. I suppose from his point of view the better quality stuff he does the more chance he has of making a living at it eventually. Like anything in life you gotta work hard to be very successful. I like this guy, his videos are quite long and to some boring but I enjoy his choices and what he does, I like to dream I could do it, but in reality I may have the woodworking skills but nowhere near the mental discipline he has. But he has stuck at it and with 2,000,000K subs he is probably making a fair income from YouTube.
  21. I can see what you say Bob , but it does look like Nathan was having fun in that video with his Benly. I would like to do one of his tours in the summer, perhaps with his Aussie post bikes, looks a blast.
  22. I think the point is YouTubers gotta create content. Nice bike though. Perhaps he was trying out a his kit for a upcoming trip to see if he had missed something.
