  1. Yeah, but look at all the beauties you have lined up for the next one. Bamboozle would be a good name for your monkey. Make sure to get one that is pannier sized.
  2. It's just started working again, quick before Pete fucks it up again.
  3. Shit on the road at work today, all coming out of the one building site. No washing down vehicles just a few blokes with brooms pushing it about. I dobbed them in, we don't want the Deliveroos sliding on it in the dark do we.
  4. I go to work and when I come back you have broken his website, what are you like?
  5. Drawing rooms of the rich, royal and famous. Not a set square or parallel motion set up in sight though. https://spitalfieldslife.com/2022/11/30/the-drawing-rooms-of-old-london/
  6. No idea, I assume it's down to whatever aggregate they are using. You can see quartzy type bits in granite kerbs when they are rough surfaced rather than sliced/polished and they do glitter in sunlight. Asphalt roads are just black sticky stuff holding stones together so probably the same reason. Now if you'd asked me about road markings I could have used one of my favourite words, which is 'Ballotini'. Little glass balls mixed in with the road marking thermoplastic that catch headlight beams at night and reflect it back. When anyone is lining there is always a solidified ooze hanging off the back of the lorry by the boiling pots. I like to snap a piece off to see the little beads.
  7. Oh dear, I think that my genetics are trying to escape out of my leotard leg hole.
  8. Pedro, do you have a liceunce for that muenkey?
  9. She was briefly in the monkey/zoo video on here.
  10. Not quite the end of the world.....but you can see it from there.
  11. I was meant to be watching Rod Stewart last night but the tickets never happened so I did a pub quiz instead and this morning I had a day off so went to look at a fort at the end of the world.
  12. Watch out for the best before dates if it's that busy.
  13. Can't recall if I have put this here before, but heard it again the other day and I like it.
  14. Happy Birthday Phil. If anyone offers you the bumps.....just say NO!
  15. Wilko Johnson has died https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11461117/Wilko-Johnson-dies-aged-75-following-pancreatic-cancer-battle.html
  16. OR.....you look like someone pictured on his Police supplied wall chart, some one who is not allowed within a few miles of children!
  17. Various AC/DC songs all through the episodes I have seen, no Brian Johnson ones yet, only Bon Scott so far. Wheels of Steel later on as well.
  18. Well you can't shave it if you're sitting on it.
  19. Don't forget the AC/DC based sound track (Saxon in episode 3 as well). Unusual in a WW2 based series.
  20. Yeah, no age is it, diabetes related. Got very ill, went to hospital, signed himself back out and insisted his boyfriend drive him back home. Got stuck in traffic for a few hours due to one of the oil motorway protests, finally got home and then took a really bad turn for the worse and died there.
  21. I went to a funeral on Monday. I headed off from home in thick fog which only cleared just as I got to the crematorium about an hour later. I wedged my bike in a made up space.... made up by me) between a normal car space and a disabled bay and started walking towards one of the chapels with my crash hat in my hand. There was a load of motorcyclists sitting outside the little tea shop they have there and I could see them wondering who the fuck I was until I suddenly turned left and went to a different funeral to the one they had come for. They all left noisily when we were outside afterwards looking at the flowers etc. The funeral was for an ex barman from a pub I go to a lot, his name was Steve, he was only 33 when he died. A lovely bloke. The landlord of the pub he used to work for brought his Alsation Rudy to the funeral, Steve was the only other person the dog would ever let walk him. On his best behaviour throughout I should add, getting fussed by everyone afterwards. There were too many people to fit in the chapel and quite a few had to stand outside the doors which were kept open so they could still hear it. The wake was at the pub he used to work at. He actually got sacked from there, but he and the landlord had remained friends despite this. Learnt a lot about him from the celebrant, it was a totally non Goddy type funeral which I think is better. The poor sod had quite a sad early start to life, hard to equate with his happy go lucky nature.
