  1. FFS......who haven't you invited? Well it looks like we've been rejected by the Human Spellchecker! So we're obviously doing something right!

    Welcome Zzr

Nowhere near! Very few are! Having said that, it probably won't be long before he morphs into a completely different person like the others have!
  4. You are really trying hard to get an outright ban there aren't you Rich? Rich on another forum.......
  5. I know the feeling all to well!
  6. @Zzr aka JamesinBrum is here now! One of you lot is going to get the kybosh over there for this......anybody want to own up?

    Welcome Zzr

    Hi James....Good to see you.
  8. The shit count has gone up for sure!
  9. Just click "Choose files" Lionel......then add them!
  10. You could always ask @Clive to start a thread there requesting it. Providing he hasn't been kyboshed of course! In fact he can add me into it as well! I can't leave you unaccompanied can I?
  11. Feels like you've always been here then Keith?
  12. I wish we had some Spanish weather......we've had British weather for a month.
  13. If you want to delete an account on a forum then send a message to the Admin. He has to delete it by law or he's in breach of GDPR!
  14. XTreme

    I am slow

You didn't know Fred was a Twat then Bob? Not even his photos with a Mullet gave you any clue?
  15. Hasn't had a bike for years now Bob!
  16. Now here's the bottom line on this business with members of another forum getting their accounts restricted. I'm not going to criticise any other forum......it's their prerogative to run things as they see fit. Just so you're aware, there are occasions where that course of action (or even a full ban) becomes necessary......but what is the criteria for applying that? In my book it's applying REAL WORLD VALUES to the situation! Not emotions, or feelings, or hunches......REAL WORLD VALUES! Therefore, some examples of behaviour that would require accounts to be restricted or closed would be things like threats to other members, posting pornography, posting links to illegal software, racism etc. You get the picture I'm sure......basically anything that's illegal, immoral, indecent, or unacceptable etc in the REAL WORLD! Now let's look at the current situation elsewhere! Two guys have had their accounts restricted for giving somebody a link to a bike forum. Just let that sink in......giving somebody a link to a bike forum! Then ask yourself......is that a REAL WORLD value? If it's not, then I would have to say those restrictions are based on other reasons. And it's not right of me to speculate on those.
  17. Same here in terms of longevity Bob......but we're not cliquey in any way. That's something I'm always very aware of.....because once a forum gets an insular attitude these days, it's the Kiss of Death!
  18. I remember I posted on there a few times.....and you were the only one who ever spoke to me! So they didn't do themselves any favours by not engaging a new member. That's why I encourage people to interact with new members straight away.....make them feel a part of the place. Yes...I know @Buckster has his own way of doing that, but it's too late in the day for him to change now!
  19. Rich goes into Patrick McGoohan mode!
  20. I found you twice on Buttrider!
  21. No.....he got the Kybosh BEFORE he admitted mailing anybody Bruce. So did Swagman!
  22. Obviously it's up to each forum owner to make his own decisions on things. I've always been pretty relaxed about everything and never had the "our members" mentality that some have. Quite a few of the guys here go on other forums as well (so do I as you know).....it's a normal thing. I have seen this attitude before (it's nothing new) but as I said, it's their site they can do as they want. I've always tried as best as I can to have a sort of "Clubhouse" feel to a forum.......not a Prisoner Cell Block H one!
  23. I honestly don't know Rich....it's a grey area. No forum software has ever had the facility to read private messages because it's always been considered an invasion of privacy. Not really ethical either. It can be done by going into the database entries on the server through an application called PHPmyAdmin......but that would be very fiddly and very time consuming. In my opinion you'd only ever do that if there was a suspicion of criminal activity or something illegal going on. And possibly requested by Law Enforcement authorities. So I'm talking something really serious here. Sharing a link to a bike forum hardly fits into that category.
