Diesels were running in the 60's Fred.....I think most of the Steam Locos were gone by 1965.

Here's a photo of an English Electric diesel locomotive in Preston station in the early 1980's. Apparently it was scrapped only a few years later. But this particular one has a very unusual claim to fame (or even infamy) for something.......anybody tell me what that is?
