An extract from the Motorcycling Tourettes Handbook, and this goes back to having very little (or no) brakes 50 odd years ago. Position yourself outside the line of the car in front so you're very slightly inside of the centre line. If he's way over to that side of the lane then switch inside to use that as an overrun. But generally try to go for the centre line. Cos if somebody puts the anchors on hard you've got an exit route to overrun if necessary.....plus you've taken yourself out of the line of fire from the car behind you. Look at any vid of mine and I'm always in the centre of the road......because it also minimises the risk of getting clipped if some twat edges out from the side. A very dangerous place for getting shunted is coming off on motorway slip roads......always stay at the centre point of those particularly if you're stationary in a traffic queue. Or you'll end up as a sandwich between two vehicles!

Weather's pretty decent for me..... ......so I hope to get out tomorrow earlier in the day. Cos later on in the afternoon I've got to drive to Guadix to get my boy who's arriving on the bus from Madrid! Sunday not sure because we'll be having the grandkids at some point. What about you?

I've had two bikes at the same time on a few occasions over the years......and always ended up just riding one of them. The other one was always just sitting there!

Not at all......makes no odds to me! And if I kept the CB forever then that would be fine.....it's a great bike. But I do like the look of the new Transalp! And I still like the CRF as well.

Well you're in the right place to get a cracking deal on a Spanish registered CB500X that you can use over here! Even got 3 months manufacturers warranty left on it as well.

I think it's more a case of a number of bikes being bought within a relatively short space of time.....and then hardly getting ridden.
