It's fucking freezing here......bit of a shock leaving the heat in Spain for this. Had to walk hell of a distance to get to the exit in the Airport so her back and hernia are playing up. Tomorrow we've got to get to Groningen but no idea if the trains have started running again.

Update: NL is apparently having the worst storm it's ever had. And we're flying into it. To make matters worse, all train services have now been stopped. So when we get there we've got to stay in a Hotel in Amsterdam and take the train tomorrow. Next up is the arrival of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!

Now on the way to Alicante.

To put this into perspective, this is the first time in 40 years together that we've booked a flight! Alarm goes off at 4AM......I check my mail and I get this....... I notify the driver who's taking us, then 30 mins later I get this..... So I phone the driver back and tell him to pick us up at 8am. Just printed off the new boarding passes and we've got to wait 3 hours. No hope of getting back to sleep now! And we're taking a detour to fucking Barcelona now!

My boy just rang me to let me know that a severe storm is hitting Amsterdam tomorrow morning......around about the time we're due to get there. Apparently he thinks there's a possibility our flight will be delayed or even cancelled. And if it's not, then we're likely to get a lot of turbulence along with a rough landing!

Yeh..,....I've ridden across there a few times. I think bustupbiker was with me once.....he'd not long bought his GS!

Yes I do......and I saw that you stagger them at one minute intervals. But that didn't seem to be happening there with the other guy organising.

Shouldn't they have spaced them out a bit more so everybody got a clear run without somebody else blocking their way?
