I had the check at the Docs and it was down to 150 (from 170) but apparently it's still high. They've given me one tablet to take and I've got to go to the Emergency Dept between 8 and 9 to recheck.

I wanted to preempt any delay to the op by getting my blood pressure checked before I go for the official tests. So my mate the pharmacist hooked me up to a machine and it turns out that it is high. It's no surprise to me that it's high considering the fucking stress that I've had in recent years. Anyway, I've got an appointment with the doc in an hour to see if they can give me something.

I reckon @boboneleg will walk it (no pun intended) with his Alps shots! I don't even have a photo yet!

As you probably know my lifelong hero has been Jarno Saarinen who was killed in the Monza carnage in May 1973. Well one of my clients recently started going out with a young lady from Finland and he told me he was going there to meet her family last week. And by an amazing coincidence she was from Turku......Jarno's hometown. I told him all about Jarno cos hes not a biker (his girlfriend knew all about him cos he's a legend in Finland), and I suggested he should visit the memorial that's there. And this is the result! I've wanted to visit there for so long......maybe one day!

Yes.....I know about the fan setting. But the floor fan is directed towards me, the PC and the monitor so it moves the hot air away from where I'm sitting.

Hi Blaze! Prices will vary a bit from country to country but that sounds a fairly decent price. Is that from a dealer? Cos I'd advise you to make sure you get a guarantee in case of any issues.

Yeh......installed last Tuesday. We haven't really used them for any extended periods, because they're powerful units and after 15 minutes the room is really chilled. Then the normal fans that we have circulate the air round for an hour or two.

People have died there apparently!
