  1. They did a decent job replacing the ceilings, but made a bad job of painting them, we have fine paint splashes on the coffe machine, toaster, microwave, kettle and fridge, they show up because the said item's are black. I will get round to removing it, but not at the moment as we are down with Covid.

Seen similar on FB Marketplace, accompanied by "needs some TLC" And they still want daft money for them.
  5. 2 of such members now, there were 3 at one point.
  6. Found the hair dryer motor.
  7. Bloody gorgeous spring day here, out in the garden for a couple of hours....... oh joy!.
  8. A free day today, then we have our granddaughter every day (not Sunday) till she goes back to school..... Quite a nice morning here ☀ temps may reach the dizzy heights of 12c later.
  9. No more night shifts for him.......
  10. As I have said earlier, if you fill in the form almost honestly you make yourself exempt straight away. They are very craftily worded forms.
  11. That is what I have until the the end of next month, the last claim they agreed with my conditions I was suitable fir attendance allowance, that I was entitled to £65 per week ☺ Now, I am entitled to bugger all.
  12. We did slightly exaggerate some things, but I still got refused a continuation of my claim, wife has phoned and given them both barrels, but the person you are talking to ain't the one who makes the final decision.
  13. They check up with your doctor, or ask you to attend a medical examination by a appointed doctor, They do not rely solely on the answers on the claim form, or believe what a claimant has put down on said form.
  14. Unless you are one of our 3 neighbours......they know how to do it.
  15. She has problems with her knees (replaced) hip joints and feet.......but she can wash, dress and feed herself so on that she would be exempt from claiming carers allowance.......it is not easy to play the system.
  16. No @boboneleg......I don't care for her, she gets PIP for her lack of mobility. Apart from walking she is able to do everything else, so she would not be able to claim carers allowance. She is/was claiming attendance allowance for me , but as said, I have miraculously healed so I no longer qualify for it.
  17. The Attendance Allowance claim forms are very cunningly worded, answer a question honestly and you immediately have made yourself exempt.
  18. The 10% rise is most welcomed, and my wife receives another £2 per week on her PIP payments. But thank the Lord that I have been miraculously healed from my other ailments that I no longer receive Attendance Allowance. So after April we will in effect be much worse off.
  19. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02Br4jGtdiaDsFBawNJDv9HopWHW8k4eiALL1MCMZmg3pVjyvibQbPQkk69iZxXdNsl&id=10008894728092 @Buckster...pre trailer days.
  20. I will paint them without removing them, I will hate every minute of doing it though.
  21. They will come off easily, but nowhere to stand them while they dry.....with it being a 1 bedroom bungalow we are very short of space.
  22. Half the trouble is the doors in the bungalow are wheelchair friendly, they are way much wider than standard door, they take a age to paint.
  23. I hate decorating......emulsion painting I can get on with, but gloss painting..
