  2. Na..the weekend kids (crackheads) have gone home.....it is now full of doddery old gits...er wait a minute.

  5. I know it, sis in law is (retired) nurse, mad as a hatter she is.
  6. Mine next Thursday......whatever I get is not enough, good job I get a top up. Exchange rate is sure crap at the moment......I use to work on £1=€1 when we went to the Med, it soon be less..
  7. 83......but I ain't expecting to be around at that age
  8. Weather next week, who knows?.. I don't hold much trust in the BBC forecast, Today i have got to get the scoot and all my power tool into the spare room...I may leave the locks off the shed doors, save the pikeys cutting them, and it will be a surprise for them when they find the shed is empty
  9. On the subject of drugs, Amoxicillin does it for me, only had it twice, and made sure I was never far from a toilet.
  10. DerriBoot, nearly as bad as Wellies.
  11. Ahh Sawbridgeworth, one of my favourite destinations, sort of.
  12. Perhaps she needed some advice on plumbing.
  13. What did I say?.....can't see my "not funny" comment......just asking

  15. Clive

    Jury Duty

It reminds me of when our flight to Mallorca was delayed by 7 hours, Thomas Cook rep came around handing out food & drink vouchers for........................................................................£3 each!!....with mine and my wife's vouchers combined we were able to get a bacon sarnie and a coffee to share between us both.
  16. We normally get a lightening flash, wait 20 seconds for the thunder clap, then wait several minutes for another flash, then have four or five flashes and it's done with, pathetic
  17. 2.30am, i would be on my 2nd cuppa and getting ready to leave home go to work. Oh how I miss those early starts
  18. We had a spectacular thunderstorm at 2.30am this morning, none of your usual couple of flash and bangs.....the lightening was streaking across the sky, the likes of which we have only seen in Spain many years ago, but funnily is hardly rained. And after I struggled to get back to sleep, knackered now.
  19. Tool are easier to grab and run away with and it's easy to sell tools on Marketplace, a scoot/bike not so.
  20. Not really around here, but after having the shed broken into on Boxing Day night it's made me a bit paranoid took all my tools and could have taken the scoot if they had wanted, I now park my car right up to the shed doors each night, car alarm would sound if they tried to move it. But when we are away they have a easy way into the shed.....so it's coming in the spare room.
  21. My insurance also asked what chain and lock I use.
  22. We are away next week (weather permitting) so the scoot will be in the spare room for the duration, even there it will have a padlock and chain on it, Be easier to leave it in the (steel) shed, but shed is about as secure as a biscuit tin....can cut the steel sheets with a Stanley knife.
  23. I would, but the bike was stolen in 1982 That bike (Honda CB400f) was never seen again.
  24. In all my years of riding I have only ever had 1 bike stolen from me, I don't want to ever go through the anger/rage and frustration again.........the feeling when you return to where you parked your bike and find a empty space is soul destroying ........and the absolute crap that insurance companies come up with when trying to claim, it may only be a lowly scooter to you guys, but it's my scooter paid for with my money Rant over.
