He went around the globe on a GXSR a while back, pre beard, and is now doing a series of vlogs of it being reconditioned. Ex cop in the protection lot.

I used to live up there. Been there, done it. Last time it was a dinner do and was a lot of fun. Car abandoned and party train to Pwllheli.

Did the Dragon in 2010 and rode back with Ogri and his brother. I won’t be attending again!

R1300GS is lighter and a lot quicker by all accounts. All horribly expensive, and too heavy.

Strangely enough I had one last night. All of £30!

Aborted trip to Senegal was ok despite having only got as far as Marbella. Bloody heat waves! Loved Portugal and Galicia. A bit busy dahn saath though. Can’t remember much about the summer. Bike change in mid August. Overland Event near Oxford and meeting Ted Simon again there was great despite costing a small fortune in beer. Spent a few weeks caravaning in September, most of it hoping for aurora near John O Groats. Might do the same again in April. Got the start of shingles some time in November and only now beginning to get over it. Not the greatest year, but there have been worse.

Cos I haven’t been on the bike!! Only 1500 miles since mid August, and most of that was in the first month or so.

Better post this as my last photo. Better than the other one of the bike but I prefer the view in the other photo.

I get the bike ready for a trip up North Wales, the weather turns shitier and find out that the bad guts that I’ve been suffering is bloody shingles. I’m slightly pissed off.
