  1. That’s tragic. I hope they’re well insured. Although this is exactly the sort of event that has insurance companies desperate not to pay out. I can’t see you’d be looking at anything other than demolition, hopefully some engineering genius will secure the building and roll it to firm ground.
  2. Hmm nice try. Maybe one day you’ll manage to land something.
  3. Sounds like a plan Stan. I’d be up for a bit of trail riding but probably best not on the Bandit, that is assuming it lives past its current hiccup. Had a look at the pics n posts on the other place. The flooding situation looks dire, as if anyone in hospitality needs another knock Great pic. Are you using a camera phone?
  4. “methinks the lady doth protest too much“
  5. How lovely to see you here. What with you being an intelligent man you may find it difficult to sink low enough to enjoy yourself though, try a large glug of whisky and letting rip, seems to work for everyone else So it’s all off for this year then? Ive been checking in every week or so but have been a bit busy so don’t know what the score is. I’ll have a look later. Nice avi, nice panniers, nice bike, great pics.
  6. Some soft medical professionals would suggest ointments but the hardcore simply shave the infected area off with a cheese grater, rash removal 100% guaranteed.
  7. Different era, very few employers feel any responsibility towards their employees. Your just a unit, as soon as your benefit cost ratio swings the wrong way the faulty ones are ejected. One of the joys of zero hours contracts and a shift in societal norms many moons ago. Sad
  8. Mind you @xtreme we threatened one of ours with statuary sick pay on the third go when he just fancied a bit of time off (he’s a terrible liar) Strangely his girlfriend suddenly became Covid free, shame she would have been of great medical interest having it for a third time!
  9. Statuary sick pay is eventually available and worth bugger all. This is why theres been resistance to testing, people simply cant afford to be off work.
  10. Waah? That really sucks. Isolation rules dont change til the 16th August. My friends son went to a house in Devon along with several others to have a big party to celebrate the end of their courses over the weekend. One of them brought Covid along so they were all told to stay there and isolate. Six days in her son got bored, decided he didnt have Covid and without warning just appeared at home, yep you can guess the rest
  11. I love where the name ‘Yen’ came from.
  12. Oh yeh you definitely have me sold on this dish.
  13. Any diagnosis yet Dr Spanner?
  14. Xtreme claimed that one a while ago
  15. If its intractable ask for a referral to a pain clinic. They’ll sort you out some better shit.
  16. Oh dear back pain sucks. Got any good drugs?
  17. One more month (ish) and no double jabbed person will have to isolate. Not that that helps you now. So good luck. The lateral flow tests are incredibly unreliable though, if youve been eating or drinking before you do it it can easily give a false positive, fingers crossed
  18. I read the ‘unread’ sections title and last comment as- Buck in Spandex I can remenber a pic of you on it, you made it look like a toy. How tall are you ? All I can say is the images of Boboneleg and Buckster together that appeared the minds eye may have scarred me for life
  19. Sounds like my general bike life
  20. Delta variant has been prevalent in this country for a very long time now and the death toll hasn’t risen because of it. There will at some point maybe 6 months, maybe a year be a variant thats is truly resistant but right now its just fear being used to help people accept control. When enough of Spain is vaccinated (assuming their snail like pace gets the job done before a genuinely resistant strain appears) suddenly they’ll change their tune in exactly the same way they have here.
  21. If the percentage of people who have have had both vaccinations is low (sounds like if 60-69 year olds are still waiting they are very low) then I can understand the govt considering partial lockdown/curfew measures. Crap though that is for you.
  22. Do you know percentage of the population has had two jabs?
  23. Is the hospitalisation and death rate going up?
