  1. Something about donkeys springs to mind but I cant get quite what..
  2. Happy Sunday I was going to spend it cooking and lazing about but now my new book has arrived “So You Think You Suck At Languages” which promises in just 60 pages for just £2 to bypass all the difficulties and show you a way to learn languages “that puts language professors to shame” I fully expect to being fluent in Spanish by lunch time and not that Ive donated £2 to a scammer
  3. Delightfully the stain on humanity MP for Dover went down to the P&O protest and joined in on a chant of “Shame on You” before she realised they were shouting at her because she is one of the small minded tosspots that voted against the bill to stop fire and rehire. They really are the pits arent they! https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/po-protestors-heckle-tory-mp-26502752
  4. Fire and rehire has been going on here for donkeys years. Its never been illegal in the UK. The EU issues directives which the individual member states adopt into their national law but theres flexibility there and the UK would just opt out of anything it could get away with. There was a private members bill last year to stop fire and rehire but our lovely govt voted it down.
  5. Sounds good Pete Maybe a fresh start for relations then? Though you might have to stop referring to her as the crazy bitch
  6. This is true but none of the others played such a pivotal role in keeping Nazanin locked up. That’s a bunglecunt of epic bunglecunt proportions. Maybe we should make him leader.. oh wait we already did.. a nation of bunglecunts then.
  7. Dont think that grade A narcissist is even vaguely bothered about being compromised. He has demonstrated he has no morality, no empathy and no conscience and doesnt shy away from telling a bigger lie to cover up the first one.
  8. Its so despicable it beggars belief. They knew they were in trouble for a long time, they knew they wanted to switch to cheaper agency labour and thats capitalism so purchasing their units at the lowest price possible is how the game works but it doesnt involve sacking people via a recorded Zoom message and giving no further information. They didnt even get the opportunity to stay on at a reduced rate til they could find something better. And they knew they were being total bastards because they had private security lined up to get them off the boat. Psychopaths. But I have to say feckin good on that ships Captain for withdrawing the bridge so they couldnt board. The mans basically made himself unemployed too but his moral compass won out. You got to applaud that.
  9. No they really didn’t. None of the fuckwits in charge knew either but they did know how to lie through their teeth with promises of millions of pounds for the NHS. Cunts.
  10. On the upside Boris whoring himself out to any dictator with a barrel of oil has meant they are finally paying back the 400 million they owe Iran and as a result into the bargain Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is back home with her daughter and family. And hats of to Richard Ratcliffe for running such a relentless campaign to get his wife back he succeeded inspite of Boris’ ineptitude nailing her coffin.
  11. Oh yeah. I love the meek n mild but if you want a good time the irrepressible have an ageless quality I just feckin love
  12. Ah thanks. I thought El Pais seemed like the right one but back here I tend to check them all. I know the political bents and demographics a particular paper is aiming at (the sun, the mirror, daily mail, the metro, the telegraph, times, the guardian, the observer etc) and together it gives a good overall gauge of where things are going. In Spain Im oblivious and I should just stay happy in my ignorance. But this type of all round reading is exactly what got my son put of New Zealand before the borders closed (last flight as it happens) and living totally unaware is lovely but learning the language doing something as enjoyable as tutting at the papers suits me
  13. What Spanish newspaper do you recommend @XTreme? El Pais is the one google throws up
  14. I just glanced at the 'unread' titles and saw- Royal Enfield Steam 411 unveiled. I thought sounds about right. Someone tell RE there's no need to do an unveil, psychology has already done a reveal
  15. I don't need to nick things darling, people give them willingly
  16. Well if you fancy a bit of cheeky Chappy rockpop from the 60's 'Ogdens Nut Gone Flake' will hit the spot
  17. Great stuff Yen. Youre a great writer. Only problem I had was at the start you said her name was Reenie and she swore like a docker. Cue reading most of it with the Small Faces song Rene the dockers delight playing in my mind So Ive fixed it above for my own satisfaction, a song about a prostitute didnt seem fitting for such an awesome sounding woman
  18. My mum ended up getting an extension and a lift (elevator to you mericans) for her other half- that was eye watering
  19. Pic might be good. I immediately thought of these and then thought oh dear his poor ol’ ma isnt going to like being bumped up n down the stairs on those
  20. There are over 4000 recognised religions in the world. Im sure one of those Hells must be a laugh?
