  1. I think so, Bob. There's enough of it around!

  3. Ain't that the truth! What was that case recently concerning a cousin of the Queen?
  4. That is an astonishing story. I think that there are still many things that we don't understand and maybe never will. I have "gut feelings", which Mandy never questions anymore as they seem to be astonishingly accurate on many occasions.
  5. Alright mate, thanks. I took early retirement last year and we've moved to the South of France. Bonniebird is working over here, but I'm a man of leisure now!
  6. Alright, Bonio, how's it going?
  7. Can you stick a GPS speedo on it with a digital readout, Clive?
  8. I'm waiting for the Tiger 660 to be launched, Pete, so I can give it a test ride. I think the launch date is next month sometime.
  9. I was working with a colleague quite a few years ago in our workshop. He dropped a tiny spring on the carpeted floor. I spotted it straight away and picked it up for him. He looked at me and said " Fuck me, Bob, you've got eyesight like a shithouse rat!" So maybe we could adopt this as the imperial standard for eyesight classification?
  10. Do you not remember reading about Pete's tea bag runs?

    Rat Run

When I lived in Kent we used to occasionally go through Northfleet near to Gravesend. Everything there had a white dust film on it from the Blue Circle cement works. Blue Water shopping centre now sits in one of the old quarries.
  12. I love camping, but if the weather is bad on the bike it soon becomes miserable. I've grown soft in my old age!
  13. Fingers crossed for you, Clive.
  14. My first couple of days were great, but the third day was dire. I tried to do some sightseeing, but the rain was coming down horizontally. In the end I wimped out and found a guest house in Barmouth for a couple of nights so I could dry my gear out. After that it turned nice again, so I headed down to Tenby and stayed in a pub there for a couple of nights and then headed home.
  15. I did a tour round Wales a few years back on my Speedy and stayed a night in a camping field belonging to a pub in the Snowdonia Park. Food and beer were pretty good in the pub and the campsite was alright too. Great place if you get the weather.

  17. I had Pilot Road 5's on my Speed Triple that I sold before our move. They are definitely good tyres, mind you, the PR3's that had on it before were pretty good too and lasted well.
  18. Probably the main reason that we moved to France was to get away from the rat race. Yes, it can be frustrating getting things done here sometimes, but that's because we haven't yet got into the rhythm. It's managing those expectations again!
  19. A manager of mine in a company I worked for many years back got promoted to European Quality Manager. His job was to get all of the affiliates accredited to ISO standards for quality processes. All was going well with his job, until he went to Spain to get them accredited! After nearly a year there he threw his hands in the air and got a flight back to the UK!
