There's a lot of cheap places over here, but the cost of doing them up is pretty steep. A lot of Brits look at them as investments, but often get their fingers burnt, as house prices don't rise the same as in the UK. Our place is 30 ish years old and when we bought it we got a summary of how much it cost new and how much it's changed hands for since then. We paid pretty much what it cost new 30 years ago!

Phew.....thank god this isn't a large group!

I played squash until about 2 years ago, so that buggered my knees up, but I find that walking really helps them. Walking has far less impact on the knees than jogging or running. Cycling has even less impact on them.

Funnily enough, my missus remarked today when we were about halfway round the loop, that when we did that walk when we first arrived here it took a lot more effort than it does now.
