  1. Past hour
  2. Time will tell...I think Harley is trying to push up sales and intress on your side of the pond...have no idea how long intress will last...these aren't moto gp bikes material if you ask me...and belong in a different league....barge racing..lol.
  3. Bagger World Cup is international, not just North America. Far better for people to get into.
  4. Today
  5. No disrespect but I don't see this moto gp thing lasting to long...most see it a cheap knock off to the mission king of the baggers..with only Harley competing...what makes the mission league exciting is direct competition between two manufacturers and were improving these models will filter down to the consumers eventually...improving both brands...
  6. Wich year was that Bob...04 ? Did you purchase it new ? ...I'm also getting there in age , and can't get the full potential of it now...but it's a blast to ride in town with the engine revs up from lights to lights...lol...it sounds like one of those trohfy truck...lol.....had some younger kids yesterday following me in a car with there windows down..I swear they were mystified and in a tranz listening to that lc8 bark...lol.
  7. Has Im not planing to do more than a couple of thousand km with it this summer....ill take it apart this coming winter , has it's due for the water service..
  8. It sure is a wonderful bike that they created so long ago...well after the test ride my oil leak is 50% resolved...took it apart this morning, it's coming from the clutch, water pump side...oil pressure switch is bone dry..valve cover down to the cylinder base gaskets are also dry....looks to me like it's seeping from the inner clutch cover gasket....the oil leak isn't extreme at the moment...think I'll just ride it like this for the summer like it is...unless it gets worse...
  9. I'd still have one today but too big and heavy for my old bones , still got memories though..............
  10. The Bagger World Cup is the real deal.
  11. Yesterday
  12. That's a hilarious story Alpalfa...lol.... basically what the service department said...they wanted to tear the engine down has a winter project..lol Guys that never worked on these , younger guys...they have no idea what's involved servicing these bikes...and no shops now are really interested on working on these...it's not has bad has most everyone beleive..it's actually not has bad. Dam this old 22 years-old bike is such a pleasure to ride...its so old school, choke cable , no abs or tracion control...never ridden a fuel injected one...but those carburetor...the fueling is spot on...its so smooth and predictable...no jerkyness at all. Struck a partridge at 100 kph...the shifter and side stand took most of the impact...good it didn't explode on me and the bike...lol.
  13. At 40k miles, i had to fix a leak in my 950's engine. Was told that it would be $1500 just to tear it down to the point where they could figure out where the leak was. Suggested that while they were at that level there was a bunch of other work that should be done. I asked them for a rough estimate - $4k. I then asked them if people just threw these bikes away at 40,000 miles. Didnt get an answer.
  14. Its unbelievable what a superior machine can do for riders...its looking to be 3 way run to the championship this year, Herfoss has his work cut out to beat Gilim I think....im predicting all 3 Indians will be hard to beat... What you saying @Buckster ?
  15. Buckwheat is awfully qwiet it seems...haven't you got anything to say ? ..lol
  16. All back together..the seal came in yesterday afternoon at the dealership...was planning to have it sent by mail..but didn't want to take any chances for it not being here Friday..so I borrowed my mom's car wich is a little easier on petrol..lol. Should be out in hour or so to test things out..
  17. I didn’t go for the extra knobbly ones. The choice wasn’t great due to the weird size rims. Keeping the high bars so not gone full artisan coffee, but I’ll fit the cup holder tomorrow
  18. Last week
  19. I see you’re going full hipster and fitting “trail” tires on a K75. Smart choice for going to cafes with barbers and artisanal burgers in London.
  20. I has a back wheel .... if only I could find what I've done with the little insert cover that goes over the studs.... Still waiting on some front brake lines
  21. Nute

    Marcel

    Welcome back Marcel...
  22. A friend of mine just bought a susuki v strom 800 a 2025..left over from last year...the one that's more dirt oriented ...can't wait to have a look at it...has he only picked it up last Monday...
  23. Yes it's ok and the needle bearing in the back is still tight on the pushrod thankfully cause I need a special puller to get that out...I replaced the clutch slave many years ago with and original one , but when this one fails again ..it will be Oberon one...I also ordered two extra seals from a local bearing shops...still waiting for those also....just incase something goes wrong when I install the ktm one...lol. ...after I get the seal in there...gonna service the clutch oil jet...don't think that was ever service...
  24. Kinda figured you would have remained qwiet after that humiliating defeats by Indian.. Lol....
  25. The pushrod looked pretty good. I had to replace mine as it rounded off on the end and didn't work properly. If it were me I'd replace the slave with an Oberon unit, much more reliable. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/374208538446?chn=ps&_ul=GB&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=374208538446&targetid=2447165152256&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9241345&poi=&campaignid=23478383421&mkgroupid=194714730609&rlsatarget=pla-2447165152256&abcId=10587450&merchantid=137585916&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23478383421&gbraid=0AAAAAD_Lr1cHU49xG7kSMYaotKQJXU6MK&gclid=CjwKCAjwn4vQBhBsEiwAq3hhNwY5Uko369wg6Sd-1Lc3bqGu-VXSth89Msq6s2XBAM8D7M8l1eeoORoCYDkQAvD_BwE
  26. well I got a 300 dallar bike wash , by the look of the chain it looks like it was sitting outside in the weather..lol.......not to mention the amount of fuel I burned running it back and forth.....pretty discusted ...mostly my fault....should have looked at it better myself , but the service tec kinda conned me into bringing it in right away.....that trailler is nice but it makes that truck burn twice the amount of fuel...at 2,15 per L ...so I juste loaded it the back of the truck for the return ride.
