  1. Past hour
  2. Yes ..the backside spacer is just free floating.. I know what your doing dickweed...lol That bearing isn't carrying the weight of the motorcycle like a wheel bearing does... Pic of the front side pulley spacer...
  3. Today
  4. But is it supposed to move side to side?
  5. Gonna hold off till Monday...gonna make sure I can find a bearing for it first...before attempting anything....might be some fucked up number they can't cross reference....who knows.
  6. On the Harley the pulley bearing and spacer are one unit and the bearing is available for purchase, measure it and I will check if it is the same. After all much of the Indian is a Harley copy.
  7. That spacer , bearing, and pulley are sold has one unit... I know a fellow who might have a proper bearing puller...gonna take a drive to his place today... The 2 year full coverage warranty has expired. Im running on the extended warranty...only covers major components...looked at the fine print this morning and that pulley isn't listed...so Im a 100% sure it's not covered....it's passed on like normal wear item...like chain and sprockets.
  8. Not part of the bearing, I can move it side to side...but can't tell if there is a collar behind in between ...
  9. Doesn't look like there is any way to get onto the bearing face other than the spacer, is the spacer part of the bearing?
  10. And the fact that its not serviceable...got me worried a little...
  11. This is my first indian...there another spacer in back of the bearing ...can't tell if there is a collar in the casting or maybe a snap ring behind the bearing...i can get access to a press...but I see no other option than pressing on the spacer itself....ive research online yesterday but couldn't really find anything to point me in the right direction...ill check again today...
  12. Well it was a good ministry event yesterday, 200 mile round trip though and the full day in between, I'm knackered this morning.
  13. That looks a nice bit of kit. I got this one off eBay thinking it was a bench mount from the pics. Bigger than I thought but it's been brilliant.
  14. Get a new bearing, cut that one out or borrow someones press. Pulley in the oven and drop the new bearing in. It won't be on your mind any more.
  15. Yesterday
  16. Has a junior moderator ( in training) didn't you receive the memo ? Ive noticed changes in your normal speech pattern revolving with the reference of being gay or inssuating other guys could be gay...is there something you want to tell us ?
  17. Correct , none of my bikes have GAY tyres ........
  18. Want make a bet ? I'm not worried, I've bench tested it...lol...spun it a few time with a power drill , cleaned out the excess grease before installing the seal...she'll hold together...lol ...anyway it's not a wheel bearing...worse thing that could happen is that it will spit the belt...
  19. That bearing will seize up on the ride.
  20. Happy treason day you ungrateful colonial bastards!
  21. Im old enough to have lived through the old mom and pop dealership....this wouldn't have been a problem...I miss those days...lol.
  22. Happy Fourth of July to all of the motorcycles loving Americans....
  23. I think it was Marcels tyre
  24. And like most bearings....wasn't or barely any sign of grease in the bearing itself...
  25. I knew it was shot before leaving...wasn't any rain on the forecast.... so I chance it...won't be doing that again...
