Well we have plenty of ice this morning, white stuff tonight.
-
Well none of that happened for me then. Ended up with a 27 year old 240 kg 900 Triumph for £510 project. You never know what's around the corner.
-
Been out trying to do a bit to the Sprint but have had to come in to warm up. I check the bikes charging and it is steady at 14.2 volts. One off today’s list. When I thaw out I going to replace both front indicators one has water in and I broke the other through being clumsy. They are just universal generic units so cheap enough to replace. Also have LED headlight bulbs to replace the standards so they are going in. I also have some heated grips to fit. Fuel cap looks okay, loads of other parts that need paint but it’s just too cold to spray anything today. Don't think the Mrs will approve of me doing it in the house. Also have to look at the CBF as the headlight relay seems to have shat the bed

Snow forecast for tomorrow.

I had the external bits of my BMW engine cerakoted, it looks really good. It was a bit of a trial to find someone to do it who didn't want an arm and a leg & it all needed a really good clean afterward. Have to wait and see how durable it is.
-
I had a Yamaha Majesty 250, and the carb would piss petrol past the buggered float bowl gasket, tried bodging it, did not work, ordered a new carb off of Flea Bay for the princely sum of £40, no doubt Chinky manufactured, but it worked brilliantly too.
-
How's the court case going @boboneleg? Still managing to keep awake When I did jury service I spent the 1st 2 weeks just sat about, then got selected on a murder case, but was dismissed after 1 week.
-
I have a Stihl brush cutter which has always been a bastard to start and run, even after going back to the dealer and them fiddling with it. I got a carb from Aliexpress for less than a fiver, swapped it out and its run brilliantly ever since.
-
It looks no different to the buggered (Daelim) relay, but how good are the internal working?...Who knows........ let you know if/when it packs up working.
-
Chinessium, you have been warned. Must be able to get a reliable make to fit. Having said that you might as well carry a pocket full at that price.
-
Has he flounced? I'll miss his humour. Insurance want an extra £80 this year. Wankers.
-
@DesmoDog should never have taken those warning stickers off.
-
It’s also quieter since @Six30 flounced.
-
Very true, the numbers on the relay are exactly the same, minus the Daelim logo of course. I may order a couple more, as the F.I, Lights, charging system and ignition are operated by relays of the same wattage.
-
The Aliexpress relay is probably the oem one without the branding.
-
I have a (Sturdy) Shedmaster shed, the scoot lives in there most of the year, but my insurance will not accept it, I have to put "Scooter stored on driveway" on my insurance quote...
-
The seat relay, a non Daelim one that I bodged to fit worked for several months, then stopped. A relay from Daelim costs £35 + P&P, So i ordered a relay from Aliexpress at a cost of £2..50p + £2..50p -P&P, it works fine, and being the same size (small) it fits perfectly in the relay holder. Iam getting our spare room ready for the scoot to spend till March in there.
-
Got the cerakote samples, if I can get a reasonable price I will go this way for the fork lowers when I take them off. The blackout E series is a nice satin black and is super tough.
-
Bloody cold out there. Got a phone call yesterday from my bike insurance checking up on detail for the renewal. I told them I now have a garage to keep the bikes in, they now want a dated picture of it.
-
It always goes quiet in the winter, always has.
