  1. Past hour
  2. Doesn't look like there is any way to get onto the bearing face other than the spacer, is the spacer part of the bearing?
  3. And the fact that its not serviceable...got me worried a little...
  4. This is my first indian...there another spacer in back of the bearing ...can't tell if there is a collar in the casting or maybe a snap ring behind the bearing...i can get access to a press...but I see no other option than pressing on the spacer itself....ive research online yesterday but couldn't really find anything to point me in the right direction...ill check again today...
  5. Today
  6. Well it was a good ministry event yesterday, 200 mile round trip though and the full day in between, I'm knackered this morning.
  7. That looks a nice bit of kit. I got this one off eBay thinking it was a bench mount from the pics. Bigger than I thought but it's been brilliant.
  8. Get a new bearing, cut that one out or borrow someones press. Pulley in the oven and drop the new bearing in. It won't be on your mind any more.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Has a junior moderator ( in training) didn't you receive the memo ? Ive noticed changes in your normal speech pattern revolving with the reference of being gay or inssuating other guys could be gay...is there something you want to tell us ?
  11. Correct , none of my bikes have GAY tyres ........
  12. Want make a bet ? I'm not worried, I've bench tested it...lol...spun it a few time with a power drill , cleaned out the excess grease before installing the seal...she'll hold together...lol ...anyway it's not a wheel bearing...worse thing that could happen is that it will spit the belt...
  13. That bearing will seize up on the ride.
  14. Happy treason day you ungrateful colonial bastards!
  15. Im old enough to have lived through the old mom and pop dealership....this wouldn't have been a problem...I miss those days...lol.
  16. Happy Fourth of July to all of the motorcycles loving Americans....
  17. I think it was Marcels tyre
  18. And like most bearings....wasn't or barely any sign of grease in the bearing itself...
  19. I knew it was shot before leaving...wasn't any rain on the forecast.... so I chance it...won't be doing that again...
  20. I remember riding in frozen fog with a tire like that ..,..great job in getting your money's worth outta that skin @boboneleg
  21. Fuck it...here's my temporary fix...lol...no looseness or slop in the bearing...managed to inject a good amount of grease all the way through...it will have to hold together until riding season is over....lol...sturgis and all...lol. Not to mention that pulley is one thousand dallors of Monopoly money ( Canadian)...if they refuse the claim...they say the bike has reach halfway through the warranty...and they might refuse to warranty it..fuckers...lol.
  22. Compared to you...lol...most definitely...lol.
  23. Dam right...lol. This is one of many reason I hate dealing with dealers...managed to talk to them this morning...have to bring the bike in...they have a look...submit a claim to indian...if approved...order the part and then have it installed...bike is going out of commission for minimum a month...can't I just bring you the pulley and have your tec look at it...Nope...
  24. Master mechanic at work right there!
  25. Removing the tire this morning....rear pulley bearing is kinda rough...checked on the part website...looks like its not serviceable...comes with the pulley...I can read the # off the bearing and could find one at the bearing shop...had a go trying to remove it...with a Harley wheel bearing Remover..doesn't really fitt...Jerry rigged something together....but stopped before damaging anything...thinking of pulling off the seal and re-pack with grease...but with that sturgis ride ...im a little concerned it might fail..
