  1. Past hour
  2. It is a TBI....all rebuilt. The in-tank pump is brand new...just replaced. I'm beginning to think there's some muck in the fuel tank clogging the pump.
  3. Today
  4. Oh I've seen your post now ....you two idiot should be doing something better than scoping FB post ...lol....for indian challenger breaks.... You want to know what I think...you should be making fun of other people rides...I understand the Harley..indian rivalry...and if you continue...I'm gonna give you another smack down...lol. Let me clear things up for you two idiot...Buck and Bob...if you look carefully at the top bolt...that caliper was removed at some piont at the dealer...probably by someone who was flipping burgers the week before...and loaded the thing with to much lock tight...creating a gap and snapped off at the end of the bolt... That top bolt is all chewed up...and Im wondering how many curbs he hit during that 700 milles...lol. Im laughing at your ignorance...lol....if your looking for a bang for your bucks...indian has Harley beaten down on everything. Power , suspension, brakes , stock audio system, power lock sadle bags , adjustable windscreen, stock seat...even if you could afford to buy a brand new cvo road glide...it's still down on power...115 hp...you'd have to dump another 10 thousand dollars just to mach a stock 108 from indian...so clearly Ian your out of your league...you have no idea what your talking about...lol. Indian is really strong in sturgis...and they are kicking Harleys butt...we were approached by many Harley riders...all saying the same thing...indian offers such better oe standard equipment that Harley... My stage 1 108 will kick any 131 any day of the week...lol.
  5. Be careful your brake calipers don't snap off.
  6. Yes definitely a barge...lol I'm trying a different oil ...has I couldn't get indian branded oil in time....service oil light came on during the last 500 km of the ride from last week....
  7. Is that a throttle body injection Scott ? Yes those inline fuel filters are a bitch...a specially in the salt region... How old is the pump...? If you haven't got fuel pressure gauges to hook up...and if it's a throttle body....Crack open the fuel return line ...making sure not to catch yourself on fire...lol At idle you should see heavy flow coming out of the return line...
  8. Yesterday
  9. Judging by that fender & wheel....& WHO posted this...it's probably an Injun...
  10. Last week
  11. Hard to believe that was a year ago. I've been to more funerals this year than ever before and I have another next week. We will all be travelling to Yorkshire to give him a good send off. RIP Del
  12. Spent a chunk of yesterday changing out the fuel filter on my GMC S-15 4x4 pick-up. As my prosthetic proved to be useless, I accomplished the task w/ just my abbreviated LH. Fired the beast up...runs fine at idle but still will NOT take any throttle...after replacing the in-tank fuel pump & fuel filter twice....flippin' maddening! Now feeling 20 yrs. older than I am....back to the service manual for more trouble shooting....
  13. We used to laugh at Pete when he used to ask about the weight of any bike , but that's me now as well. I really struggle to move a heavy bike around. It's fine when you're riding but manoeuvring it around is fraught at times. I can't believe how I used to throw my KTM 950 around but that sure wouldn't be happening nowadays
  14. A sprocket change could make a difference....might take a bit of a bite outta your 58 mpg, but the payoff could be more useful & relaxing. Suppose it just boils down to what kind of riding you'll be doing.
  15. Bloody hell... Where's the time gone
  16. Quite a few have passed over the years, unfortunately not the ones we wanted to go.
  17. Easiest thing in the world to ship.
  18. Well I did manage to chatt with him before leaving in the morning....I guess shipping a motorcycle out of the UK is simple...but shipping it back from the states is a different story...I guess he had missing paperwork...and no-way for him to get the proper paperwork before departing new york...so he was saying the bike might be staying in the US.
  19. After now having done a longer trip on the bike here's some brief findings... It's got stacks of torque, makes it very easy on single carriageway A roads, towns and twisties, pulls like a train tips into bends like it's reading your mind, it's effortless, on rails, no wobbles and feels like cheating On bigger roads such as dual carriageways I don't like it much at all, high frequency vibes through the pegs and seat (not a huge issue) the throttle grip spring is too strong, makes your hand hurt trying to sustain a constant speed for long periods, it's also far far far too sensitive the tiniest of movement will cause the bike to slow and speed up making it feel like the fuelling is very bad on rougher roads, especially around 65 mph/4,000 rpm, I'm fairly sure it's not fueling as if I concentrate on locking my hand position it goes away It's nice to have aftermarket exhausts for some street cred, but on long journeys the drone is tiring and a nuisance, adding to rider fatigue This is a new one for me, I'm 5'7" (and a half ) and 12 stone dripping wet, so with the adjustable seat set to the middle position I'm finding my legs too cramped and it was causing knee pain, on a good note and can get both feet flat on the ground, I've only every been able to do that on my V-Max, ridiculously I may have to raise the seat for my loft 5'7" (and a half ) height but then the bars are going to be lower than I'd like and it already has bar risers fitted. I can get 58mpg if I ride at a steady 65mph which is good Over all it's a fun bike to ride through the twisties, puts a shit eating grin on your face but commuting or long distance is very disappointingly tiring and strained and I think I would most certainly opt for the car to do that If I can't fix these things I will most likley offload the bike and get something like an NC700/750 or a cruiser (yes I know I take the piss but I do like them really), I found my V-Max very comfy and solid even in the worst of side winds, just it's pathetic tank capacity and thirsty engine makes it impractical for anything but posing and drag racing, oh and putting me in a wheelchair for 2 months lol, I don't need all the power/torque of the CBF, even on my 400 scooter nobody overtook me except for the flat out hooners. The bike is heavy, oddly heavy in that wheeling it around is hazardous, I never had that issue with my Caponord (but that was 23 years ago) but there aint bugger all I can do about it's weight Maybe, a set of original end cans, one of those throttle cruise control things (not really cruise control, just a plastic grip thingy), also changing the cogs might help, 1st and 2nd gear are almost redundant, so perhaps a smaller front and larger rear might make it more relaxed riding PIC for attention
  20. I was talking with Chris a few nights ago.. life is a bitch some times. RIP Dell and all our mates and loves. Lyn.
  21. Don't worry I was keeping and eye on it.... Made it home a few minutes ago....looking at my face....think I've aged about 10 years...want to see ?....lol.
