  1. Past hour
  2. Fuck that's depressing Clive, given that I am only 10 years or so younger
  3. Maybe because I have reached 71yo My daughter lives 200 yards from us, she is 40 yo has had 1 accident in the past, drives a 1600cc car, and her insurance is bit cheaper than mine. I did ask why my insurance is high, they just said..your age...or postcode that could flag up insurance problems too, was a bit vague. I have looked on the Meerkat site (other providers are available ) and the prices are the same.... I have other things to consider (car rear axle) that will require funds, so I will stick with the scoot, only costs me about £150 per year..
  4. Still around 250 kg wet which is fecking heavy especially for a Lady who is looking for something lighter. Think a CBF1000 is around 240 wet so going in the wrong direction Don't get all defensive I personally think Busas are pretty cool, not sure I want one, I am over big power big weight stuff, but recognise that they are an interesting bit of kit.
  5. It is abit extreme I'll admit but possibly abit lower seat height than a cbf1000
  6. No but it is a bike of extremes not really suited to commuting especially for someone who is finding a CBF1000 to heavy and a bit tall.
  7. He has that done before he leaves, his friends Ben Dover and Phil McCavity do it for him
  8. its cause of the old gits age
  9. Pretty much in the same way a fecking Busa would.
  10. Right engine wrong bike I think the Rebel is ugly to, I like the CL but that has been hit with the same ugly stick. If I didn't have the CBF600 I could see a NX or CB500F being a great option for my commute, mind you I traded my CB500F for a Hornet so what do I know
  11. That's 50 quid more expensive than for me with the busa
  12. There must be better options than that, my CBF600 was only £90 ish.
  13. Today
  14. tell the insurance to fuck off and just go get it
  15. That was the cheapest, and it was with some insurance company that I have never heard of, i am with Swinton (£75 for the scoot) who funnily were not on the list of quoting companies.
  16. She rode the 500 rebel yesterday and liked it, says she'd use it to commute. Stupid woman, it's fugly.
  17. Being silly I know, so I did a online insurance quote.....£275!!, i will definitely give it a miss.
  18. Her purse has a big fuck off padlock on it.
  19. It needs a bit of work, headstock bearing, and a blow on one header pipe, simple enough to fix, and not too much expense. If (I can't ) got it I would use it, not very often I know (I don't get out much ) but not to sell on. I had GPZ500 in the past, a decent enough bike, just the damn thing liked to corrode & and rust quickly...
  20. I'd just get it, it looks in decent condition so wouldn't take much to flip it
  21. Funnily enough I rode Shadows 125 the other day and it goes much better now I have lost 4 stone, real performance upgrade
  22. Tell the wife to shut the fuck up and go get it
  23. Could be a nice winter project for me.........Wife says no!
  24. A nice start to the day here , weatherman says rain later, which should make the bike 🏍 racing at Donington interesting...
  25. Mine is fast enough (for this old fart ) when out and about, it not particularly quick off the mark, maybe it would be a bit quicker if I weighed a bit less.
