Anyone know anything about mass airflow sensors?
Nute replied to Nute's topic in MOTORCYCLE WORKSHOP
Earth connection was the first thing I looked at, injectors are new, loom is the original and the bike ran (briefly and like a tractor) before I pulled it apart. Continuity, where I can check it is fine. They are crank position sensors, two of them, at 0 and 180 degrees from memory when I pulled the cover off. Depending on how long I spend at the pub tonight I will have a look tomorrow and see what sense I can get from them as Ian suggests with a magnet. I assume I’m looking for a gradual change 0-12v across the signal and ground ( there are 3 wires) ? -
Prolly not, his problem if he gets stopped. Shadow’s, is that’s all that concerns me.

Let's start with the basic numbskull...before he starts waving around magnets on a magic wand ... -

What sensor are you checking ? Crank sensor ? I imagine you've already checked the injector for 12v and ground ? -
surely that front L-plate is not legal?

If you find the specs of the sensors you can make them easily enough. They are a very simple and readily available semiconductor device. You can test them with a multimeter, just power up the circuit then look for a fluctuation in voltage when you run a magnet near them. -
Will that be before or after the flounce?
-
Well it might be not about wild predictions, but more like what you all have in plan for 2026...for me I've got to take my health more seriously and start exercising.., id love to try to make it to sturgis this year , it should be a 2 week journey or possibly more...something I've never attempted before...being on the road for that long...

5. The artist formally known as Marcel will not take his meds go dolally and flounce. Then come back a few weeks later as if nothing happened. Happened before
-
Yep, all possible

Spent all afternoon fitting How Highs Christmas present and repairing the fairing panels they mount two. Both were cracked and split where he dropped the death trap on separate occasions. Anyway two new front indicators a tube of epoxy putty and a load of new push button fixings and it’s holding together again.

Still not got around to the grips… Did fill it with gas, oil, coolant, turns over OK but injectors not injectoring. Process of elimination so far, and something Im not sure how to test is the Hall effect sensors. As luck would have it they are not made anymore, so tracked down some chinesium equivalents ( supposedly) on Aliexpress and waiting for them to show up. Obviously what will eventually arrive will be carpet slippers or a concrete fence post but will have to wait and see. -
1....Ian and Rich will tie the not , get married and open up a beauty salon... 2.. Saul after feeling bad about the Christmas gift he got his wife ( tires) went out and bought a battery for his bike. 3...Pedro will trade his bike for a camel or a donkey. 4...Six30 will return to lay a smack down on Buckster.

Have you figure out what and horizontal picture is. ?

-
Any party you go to will be camp.

He's not aware of anything like that...too self centred

You are aware not all jokes are directed at you, right?

Are you talking about my collectors bike 2004 adventure 950 black edition ? The ultimate adventure bike that was created many decades ago and still runs like a Swiss clock ?

I don't think I can dumb it down enough for you to understand.
